Wolman Elementary Newsletter

News from Ms. Ricks, Principal
It has been another GREAT week at Wolman Elementary! Our Third Graders have been working hard preparing for their Veteran's Day Program! They performed for students and staff today and did an outstanding job! We know they will, again, shine bright tonight during the evening performance at 6:00 p.m.! Please come out and enjoy the program if you can; there is a flyer included below for more information! Also this week, students in all grades were able to participate in an anti-bullying assembly brought to us by our wonderful PTA! The assembly focused on being kind and inclusive to all and provided strategies for what to do when faced with another person being unkind. The importance of reporting inappropriate behavior was also stressed. Our staff will continue to weave these important messages into our morning announcements and throughout our instructional days as we want all of our students to learn in a safe and positive school environment!
We are collecting notes of thankfulness from our parents and students to distribute to our wonderful staff during the next couple of weeks. Our goal is to be able to give notes to ALL of our staff members. We kindly as that you use the link below to send a note of thankfulness to a teacher, counselor, custodian, librarian, cafeteria worker, front office, nurse, or aide. You can submit as many forms as you would like. Help us show our wonderful staff just how much we love and appreciate them! The form can be found here: We Are Thankful For Our RJWE Staff 24-25 Form
As a reminder, students should not be dropped off prior to 8:10 a.m. as there are not staff on duty to monitor. We appreciate you all supporting student safety. There is lots of important information below so please review the sections below carefully. Have a fantastic rest of your week!
Veteran's Day Performance
Join our Third Grade Explorers as we honor those who have served our nation with a special Veterans Day Musical Salute! Our public performance will take place Thursday, November 7 at 6:00pm in the RJWE Gym. All families, friends, and veterans are welcome!
Chromebook Reminders
Student ID's for Bus Riders
Student ID’s for Bus Riders
As a reminder, ID’s are required by all students entering the bus and in order to ensure safety, failure to enter a bus and a campus without a student ID cannot occur. Students were provided two ID's at the beginning of the school year; one of which was attached to their backpack. If your child has misplaced his/her ID, parents will need to provide a replacement. Bus riders who fail to have an ID may be suspended from transportation services. We appreciate your assistance with ensuring your child's ID stays attached to his/her backpack for safety purposes. Please contact your child's teacher if he/she needs a new student ID. Thank you!
New Procedures Regarding Lunch Visitors
It has been great seeing so many lunch visitors! As a reminder only parents/guardians, non-school aged children and immediate family listed on the 24-25 Lunch Visitors Parent Permission form are able to visit for lunch. Due to limited space, visitors are limited to 2 visitors per student. Please note the following: Each parent must sign up for their own seat and a separate seat for any non school age siblings. PLEASE REMEMBER when signing up to include your child's name and teacher in the comments. All visitors must show a physical, hard copy government issued ID (driver's license or passport) when you arrive for lunch. We ask that each student be limited to having a lunch visit one day per week to allow all Explorers the opportunity to have a lunch visit. If you are not able to come to lunch after you signed up, please remove your name from the list. Also, please be aware that a few minutes prior to your child's lunch time ending, the monitors will direct your child to join his/her class; this helps with making our cafeteria exit procedures run more smoothly. The following links will guide you in signing up for lunch times to visit your child and with providing lunch visitor permission. Please call 281 234 1700 with any questions. Thank you!
