STAR 360 Assessments

The fall testing window is August 17-28th. This bulletin is intended to give you an overview of STAR assessments and resources available on the web. It is not intended to take the place of training that will be provided. However it does provide an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the core product, reports and general information. As soon as Logins are provided by the district, we will get started! It is anticipated that students/teachers will log in with district logins.

• Assessments will be delivered whole group and online.
  
• We will utilize the computer lab and mobile carts.
• If administering STAR reading and Math on same day..Math should be administered first.
• Test administration assistants will be assigned for KDG & 1st Grade to assist the teacher with administration.
• Classroom teachers are expected to plan, prepare, and administer the assessments for their classroom. Remedial Specialists and teacher assistants may be available for assistance and support, but are not the primary administrator of the assessment.
• Each assessment is approximately 34 items across multiple domains.
• Star Early Literacy Assessments will be read to students by the computer~ headphones are needed.
• Assessments can be administered as part of the 90 minute reading block.
• KDG will take Star Early Literacy (includes both reading and math literacy)
• 1st -6th Grade will take STAR Reading and STAR Math
• In some instances, students may be bumped down to STAR Early Literacy if they did not score well on the STAR Reading.
