What is happening at Glenwood, April 24, 2020
News from Dr. Cappucci
The Butterfield Family reminded us how lucky we are to have the most amazing first responders.
Kindness Rocks
Perhaps this message is one that you need right now, in this moment
This will soon be over,
The restrictions we now live with will begin to lift
and we will find ourselves
returning to our regular routines.
For some of us,
this means heading back to work,
for others it will mean looking for new work.
We will go back to our daily chores that will include leaving our homes,
we may go back to our religious services,
volunteer groups, and social clubs....
but things will be different,
won't they?
Perhaps we will all pay attention to what really matters most.
Perhaps we will spend more time with the ones we love as we have become
more accepting of one another.
Maybe we will even look forward to the calm again. Those in between moments-
the gift of being present and filled with gratitude for the simple things.
Taking walks around the block,
sitting in our back yards,
having enough food in our pantry.
We can expect one thing for sure, and that is that life outside of our homes will
resume once again.... let's take the best lessons from these days and carry them forward with us.
May you find Peace today in this message.
Sincerely,
Megan Murphy

All students should be logged in and working with teachers in Google classrooms.

* For all grade levels
It is imperative that students are now logging into Google classrooms. All grade levels have worked together to keep our students engaged and motivated in their work. The easiest way students can access their Google Classroom is through Clever (https://www.clever.com/in/wrsdk12)or the Chrome app. Google Classroom can also be accessed at classroom.google.com. If using the latter, you will need to request the classroom code from your child’s home room teacher.
* This is another important announcement. We have realized that you are getting an email every time we post an assignment -- this can make things very confusing! Here is how to stop that from happening:
1) Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the window.
2) On the tab that opens up, click on "Settings."
3) Scroll down and uncheck "work and other posts from teachers."
4) You can also uncheck "due date reminders for your work."
5) If your parents joined our classroom, please let them know they can do this as well.
LEAVE THE OTHER THINGS CHECKED. That way you can still receive work and comments from us. Let us know if you have any questions!
*Most of our students continue to work everyday and teachers are excited to see their progress. If your child is struggling to complete assignments, please reach out to classroom teachers or me. I would be happy to talk to any child that is having a difficult time.
The district's Remote learning plan is on the district website.
Spirit Week Pictures
We are all missing being together at Glenwood right now.
Carter Lindberg and Beau Munzert celebrated Earth Day this week.
Mrs. Arsenault
The biggest question is: What are Glenwood teachers and staff doing these days?
The Butterfields played in the snow on April 17th!
And found time to finish a puzzle.
The Grillo Family
I hope you have had a chance to work on puzzle.
The Lague Family
Has anyone seen Bigfoor?
Do you know any facts about Bigfoot?
Is Bigfoot real?
These are great research questions.
The Plouffe Family
Mrs. Plouffe finished her Golden Girls puzzle! Now she needs a new one!
The Plouffe Family decided to try a new place to hike and ended up on a 4 hour hike to Mt. Tom in Holyoke MA. The trails were so cool. They felt like mountain goats most of the time. In some spots you walked right along the edge of the cliff. That part was a little overwhelming but the views were spectacular!
Their new BE KIND T-shirts arrived and they are excited to wear them!
The Mellor Family
I am getting ready to work on my fairy garden.
Has anyone every created a fairy garden?
Could you send me pictures of your fairy garden?
Catino Family
How old will these chickens be when they reach maturity?
How long will they have to be kept inside?
How to you take care of baby chicks?
Art work sent to Mrs. Hughes
