East Heritage Explorers
Weekly Update for 11/18-11/22
Principal's Message
Explorers and EH Families,
We had an incredible week at East Heritage! We celebrated the achievements of our Explorers during our first-trimester awards assemblies, enjoyed a groovy 70th Day of School with a 70s-themed dress-up day, and capped it off with the Day of Awesomeness reward from our Step It Up Fundraiser. It was fantastic to see so many families on campus for these events. A special thank you goes out to our PTO and all the amazing volunteers who made the Day of Awesomeness such a success—our Explorers had a blast!
Looking ahead to next week, we’ll kick things off with a spirit day for all our Disney fans! Wear your favorite Disney attire on Monday as we celebrate Mickey Mouse’s birthday. We’re also starting our annual holiday toy drive, joining forces with several Etiwwanda schools and the Fontana Fire Department to support the Isaac Strong Foundation. This foundation, created by a Heritage community family, honors Isaac, a former West Heritage student who lost his battle with cancer. Donations from the toy drive will bring joy to children with cancer in our local area. If you’d like to participate, please drop off a new, unwrapped toy at the front office by December 16th.
As we approach the holiday season, we want to remind everyone about the importance of consistent attendance. Every school day counts, and regular attendance helps students stay on track academically and socially. Let’s work together to ensure our Explorers are present and engaged as we continue to learn through holiday season. Thank you for making school attendance a priority!
Lastly, a few reminders as we head into Fall Break:
- Friday is a minimum day for Kinder–5th grades with dismissal at 1:15 PM. All TK students will attend the morning session. Our front office will be closing at 3:00 PM.
- There will be no school the week of Thanksgiving (Nov.25th-29th). We hope you enjoy this time with your loved ones.
- Please check the Lost and Found for any items belonging to your family. Unclaimed items will be donated over the break.
Thank you for your continued support. Wishing you a restful and wonderful weekend!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Ashton
Principal
