A Message from Dr. Ortiz, Principal of Sandy Run
Good afternoon, Sandy Run Families,
While our week at school has been filled with many highlights and positives, like so many of you my heart goes out to all those with family and friends impacted by the terrorist attack in Israel. I hope that a peaceful outcome is soon realized and healing can begin. In times like these, it is important to remember that we as a district are steadfast in our stance against hate of any kind, and the antisemitism that parts of the world have seen this week. Here at Sandy Run and in Upper Dublin as a whole, we are fortunate to have such a strong, united community. This strength has certainly been tested in various ways over recent years, but we have remained together and have seen the best of who and what we are.
Through the good times (such as 8th grade promotions, SRMS musicals, sports teams’ victories, and more) as well as the bad times (such as tornadoes, pandemics, and wars), one thing has been a constant, positive throughline: the strength of the UD community. I am truly fortunate to be both a graduate and proud employee of the Upper Dublin School District, and I have great gratitude to be a part of such a committed, caring, and united community. Thank you for all you do, and I hope you, your friends, and your families are well.
Sincerely,
Dan Ortiz

- Dear Parent(s)/Guardians, Please see the message below from Upper Dublin High School if you plan on attending the Harry S. Truman/Upper Dublin football game tomorrow evening.
Students in grade 8 and below must be accompanied by a paying adult who remains through the conclusion of the game. Students in 8th grade or below who show up without a paying adult, will not be allowed to enter the stadium.
