The Weekly
Elizabeth Ide Elementary School
A Message from your Principal, Mrs. Katie Johnson
Dear Families,
I know this time next week, many of you will be traveling or welcoming friends and family into your homes for the winter break. Therefore, this will be the final edition of The Weekly for 2023!
As we embark on this holiday season, the Ide Staff wants to take a moment to express our warmest wishes to you and your loved ones. May this special time of year be filled with joy, laughter, and cherished moments with those closest to you.
We are grateful for the opportunity to work with your children and to be a part of your extended family. We hope that the holiday season brings you peace, happiness, and an abundance of love.
Wishing you all a magical holiday season and a wonderful New Year!
Respectfully,
Katie Johnson

December Events at Elizabeth Ide
Important Reminders
Please remember to either call the attendance line (630-783-5199). If you are unable to do so and email the classroom teacher, please also include Ms. Sorn in the email about any absences. This will avoid getting a call from the office and it helps if there are substitutes in a class.
It is also important to include Ms. Sorn in any transportation changes.
Intramural Basketball at IDE: 1st Grade
1st Grade Parents
Mr. Pitassi and I would like to offer an intramural basketball opportunity for your child. This will be for two weeks Monday through Friday, starting on December 4th through the 15th . Intramurals will take place before school from 6:55 AM until 7:35. If your child is interested you can just drop your student off as we will open the doors at 6:55. Students will need to be here no later than 7:05. During these sessions, we will have open shoot around, focus on different basketball skills, and have a few smaller competitions based on the number of students that show up. No need to sign up or anything, just show up bright and early! Any questions feel free to reach out to either myself or Mr. Pitassi. (bkukulski@ccsd66.org, ppitassi@ccsd66.org)
Thank you,
Mr. Kukulski & Mr. Pitassi
