Mrs. Campbell's Notes
Holy Smokes! As the end of the school year approaches, I try to wrap my head around the fact that the year is almost complete. As I take some time to reflect on the year, I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every parent, guardian, volunteer, community member, grandparent, family member, student, staff member, and anyone else who supported us along our school year journey. The year has presented its fair share of challenges, but it's also been filled with countless moments of accomplishments, growth, and unity. Our school community has shown incredible resilience and determination and for that I am incredibly thankful.
Graduating Seniors,
I extend my warmest congratulations. Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance have brought you to this significant milestone, and I have no doubt that you are prepared to embark on the next chapter of your journey with confidence and enthusiasm. As you prepare to spread your wings and pursue your dreams, please know that you will always have a home here at Kingman High, and we eagerly anticipate hearing about your future successes. Please remember, Once an Eagle...Always an Eagle.
To Our Returning Students,
I encourage you to take time this summer for rest, rejuvenation, and reflection. Whether you're exploring new interests, embarking on adventures, or simply enjoying moments of relaxation with loved ones, remember to have fun this summer and return to us in the fall with renewed energy and enthusiasm. New ideas and learning awaits you in 24-25!
Parents,
Thank you for your ongoing support, partnership, and trust. Your involvement and engagement are what make our school community truly special, and I am honored to serve as your principal.
Staff,
I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your unwavering dedication and commitment to our students' success. Your passion, expertise, and tireless efforts are the driving force behind everything we accomplish, and I am grateful for all that you do.
As the last days of May come to an end, let us carry forward the lessons learned, the friendships created, and the memories made. Let's finish strong together!

Path Finder Night: Charting Your Course to Success
We hosted our first ever Path Finder Night in April for incoming freshmen students for next school year. Parents and students were shown the new graduation requirements for the class of 2028 and beyond and learned about our CTE classes and the different pathways KHS has to offer. There were many teachers present for students to discover a little more about the classes they offer at KHS. Our freshman class is going to be a big one and we had 46 out of 60 families attend. Thanks for the great turn out! We are excited for our freshman class next year.
Coffee with the Principal
Thank you to all the parents and community members who have attended my "Coffee with the Principal" this school year. We have one more to go and I'd love for our numbers to double! A special shout out to Lynne Schreiner for attending EVERY month this year! I've enjoyed our coffee conversations.

Library News
Summer Loss Phenomenon “Summer slide” or “brain drain” refers to the loss of academic skills and knowledge that can occur when students are away from school during the summer months. Research has shown that the summer slide can significantly impact a student's academic achievement – particularly in subjects like math and reading. The equivalent of two months is lost during summer break: 2.6 months of math and 2 months of reading are lost over summer months. While everyone needs a break and summer is all about a break and having fun, remind your students to read just 15 minutes a day and to keep their mental math sharp by doing simple calculations in their heads instead of on a calculator.
