December 9-13
Mercy School Institute 2024-2025 School Year
Principal's Corner
Assalam Alaykum dear parents, staff, and Mercy community,
As we move into the second week of December, we’re excited to highlight some of the amazing events and activities our students have been part of. I find myself reflecting on how quickly this school year has passed. I truly cherish the wonderful families and the strong sense of community we have at Mercy School.
As we approach the end of this first semester, we have much to celebrate. We are incredibly proud of the daily dedication and hard work of our teachers and students. It’s inspiring to witness the growth of our students and the meaningful relationships that continue to strengthen within our school community. A heartfelt thank you to the parents who joined us on Monday for the incredible Islamic assembly, where 1st to 5th-grade students delivered remarkable performances. On Wednesday, middle school students engaged in a lively Jeopardy game, trivia questions, skits, and captivating performances centered around Salah. All of our students also enjoyed a special popcorn treat that day – thank you to our wonderful volunteers for making it possible!
Thursday brought even more excitement with a fantastic play by our juniors students and another round of Jeopardy, this time with our high schoolers. To top it all off, we held our school’s annual Spelling Bee, which was a great success. Congratulations to Maaz Alam for winning the school Spelling Bee! Great job! 🎉👏 We’re so proud of our students and grateful for everyone who helped make these events memorable!
All elementary students will receive their progress reports next week. Middle and High school Students have their Fall Finals next week.
Whole School Picture tomorrow: Tomorrow, Friday, we will be taking a whole school picture on the soccer field. Please ensure that your child wears their division color hoodie for the photo.
As we wrap up the year, we would like to inform you that this is our final newsletter for 2024. We are grateful for your continued support and engagement throughout the year. Our next newsletter will be sent out in January 2025, and we look forward to sharing more updates and exciting news with you then. Thank you for your ongoing support and for encouraging your students to engage fully in the many opportunities offered here at Mercy School.
