Challenger Middle School Mission
To provide an exemplary education that develops critical thinking and problem solving skills which inspire our students to challenge their minds and charge their spirits.
Principal's Corner
Dear Challenger Families and Community Members,
I hope this message finds you safe and well following the impacts of Hurricane Milton. Our thoughts are with each of you as you navigate the aftermath of the storm. We understand that times like these can be incredibly challenging, and we want you to know that our school community is here to support you in any way we can.
Quarter 1 will now officially end this Friday, October 18th. Quarter 1 Report Cards will be available to parents and students on October 30th in your FOCUS Portal Account, after 4:00PM. The district is still working on finalizing those Hurricane Make-Up days. I want to take a moment to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our students, staff, and community. I am truly grateful to be at such an amazing school! A special congratulations goes out to our boys' and girls' basketball teams for an incredible season! Your dedication, teamwork, and school spirit were truly inspiring. We are so proud of each one of you. As we head into Cross Country and Volleyball season, I am excited to see our students continue to excel.
With the first round of progress monitoring now behind us, we are shifting our focus toward supporting the ongoing growth and development of our students. Weβve gathered valuable insights from this data and are committed to helping each student reach their full potential as we move into the next phase of learning. Our staff is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment that fosters academic and personal success.
In addition, we value your input and ask for just a few moments of your time to complete a brief survey for our PTO and School Advisory Council (SAC). Your feedback is crucial in helping us build a strong partnership between home and school and in shaping the future of our school community. SAC and PTO Survey
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school. Together, we are making a difference!
Respectfully,
Chris Drake
Attendance Matters
Missing a day of school here and there may not seem like much, but absences add up!
When a student misses 2 days a month... they end up missing 20 days a year, and will have missed over 1 year of learning by the time they graduate.
For more information on our attendance policy, click here: https://chm.leeschools.net/our_school/attendance_policy
