Chequamegon Middle School & Glidden Elementary School

The bloodmobile will be at the Chequamegon North Campus on Wednesday, September 18th. Due to the hot weather, we are working to adjust their location from the gym to the fitness center, as that room has air conditioning.

The Chequamegon Middle School has hit the ground running with several sports and activities already starting this year. Middle School students participate in Girl's Basketball, Football, and Cross Country. 41% of CMS students (52) are involved in at least one sport. Several students even push themselves, as they may do basketball and football or basketball and cross country. It is our goal to ensure all students have opportunities to be involved.

The middle school Sources of Strength and Student Council are in the beginning stages of taking applications and developing these leadership teams. This will expand opportunities for students beyond athletics.

The middle school was also represented very well at the summer marching band program under the direction of Mrs. Kristen Kirch, with close to 20 students participating.

As we begin the year and review procedures, all Chequamegon North students will participate in a fire drill and a bus evacuation drill later this week. Having these important events practiced within the second full week of school.

Chequamegon Middle School is excited to introduce a new advisory program to strengthen the connection between students and teachers through daily conversations and engaging activities designed to help everyone get to know one another. This initiative strongly emphasizes developing social-emotional skills and fostering respect and care within the school community. The need for such a program was highlighted in the student climate survey conducted last year, which underscored the importance of promoting respect and emotional support among students. We believe this program will be vital in creating a positive, supportive environment for all.
