The first dance of the school year will be Friday, September 13th immediately after school. Admission will be $5.00. Snacks will be on sale. Permissions slips will be sent home on Thursday, September 12th. Please note that NO STUDENT WILL BE PERMITTED TO STAY FOR THE DANCE WITHOUT A SIGNED SLIP ON FILE BY FRIDAY AT NOON.

This year, we are using MySchoolBucks to pay for admission to school dances and other events. The link will be made available to all no later than Wednesday, September 11th. If you experience any problem with the platform, please send your student with the $5.00 cash/check and permission form on Friday, September 13th. Only students with payment and a signed permission form will receive a wrist ticket for entrance to the dance. No funds will be accepted after homeroom on the 13th.

At Leonardtown Middle School, we strive to improve the attendance of our students. Each minute of every school day provides a learning opportunity for our students and it is noticeable when they are absent. It is difficult for your student to succeed if he/she is not in the classroom. Let’s make every day count! Remember, they must be present to learn.

All 6th Grade students will be receiving new laptops next week. Please ensure that your students' laptops are fully charged and that each student has his/her charger. This will allow for a smooth refresh process.

• Our first LMS PTA General Membership Meeting will be Wednesday, September 11th at 5:30 p.m. in the LMS Media Center. Come see what the LMS PTA is up to this year! You will have a chance to hear about what the PTA has been doing this year so far, join the PTA, vote on our yearly budget and bylaws, and meet our executive board.
• Please consider joining the PTA. Memberships are: $15 for a family, $8 for single, and $7 for teachers/staff.

Students are responsible for the care and upkeep of all of their SMCPS assigned resources: print and technology. This document outlines all of the policies and procedures in addition to pricing for lost or damaged devices.
