Highlights from this months activities...
With summer coming to a close, Eeroma clients have been taking full advantage of soaking up sunshine as much as possible, from going to nature parks to slash pads. Similarly, some of the Johnson County clients went to Worlds of Fun and had expressed that it was a fun-thrilled afternoon. Johnson County also participated in the Great Olympics, having one of their very own. Which included bowling, racing, and hand-eye coordination. The Wyandotte County clients also participated in solstice events, from hiking to see wild buffalo to visiting beautiful gardens. The Wyandotte County clients also went roller-skating this month and ate at the Pizza Shuttle, yum...

Meet The Incredible FacesBehind Eeroma
Jermaine Mitchell
Hello, I am the owner of Eeroma Resources. Eeroma was named after my late Grandmother, Amoree which is spelled "Eeroma" backwards. I know, it's unique lol. I love putting smiles on peoples faces and hear them laugh. Anytime I am doing that, I am happy.

Hello, I'm sure many of you all already know who I am lol but I will introduce myself again! I am the Executive Director at Eeroma Resources. I have been with Eeroma for "five'' years now and I am looking forward to being apart of this amazing organization many more years to come. Outside of my wonderful job, I am a boy mom to an amazing seven year old, named Carter. He and myself love going on adventures (field trips). This year, I was able to take him on his first cruise. If I am not traveling, I like to relax and binge watch TV shows with some great take out food.

Thirty years ago, I happened upon the IDD field during graduate studies. While attending college, I accepted a position as a DSP (direct support professional) and quickly fell in love with our population. What I intended to be a short-term job, evolved to be a significant part of my life and passion! It is an honor and privilege to work for Eeroma Resources. Each day, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the heartbeat of Eeroma Resources, our beloved clients, their families and our amazing staff. Without them, I would not get to do, what I do. I am beyond thankful!
Mareon Smith
Hello everyone! I have been employed with Eeroma Resources for five years now. For the last four years, I’ve had the pleasure of being the Residential Manager for both Wyandotte and Johnson County. Being the Residential Manager is no easy task. It comes with a lot of responsibilities, which explains why I’m always working. Lol. I throughly enjoy the clients that we serve, my staff, and my amazing colleagues (the leadership team). I love decorating, cooking/grilling for the Eeroma party’s! When I’m not working, I love spending time with my spoiled rotten son, Bentley Maurice. Bentley is a one year old Shih- Tzu puppy, who has me wrapped around his little paws. Lol

I have been a case manager with Eeroma for five years, and a case manager for twenty-five years. I graduated from University of Central Missouri with a BS degree in Psychology Rehabilitation and have worked entirely with the special needs population since graduating. It's truly my passion. My favorite things to do are line dancing, roller skating, attending fairs, and taking my dog and granddog to the dog park.
