Windy Hill Middle School Newsletter
September 26th
Hello Knight Families!
Thank you to the many families who joined us last Friday night for our Food Truck Event. Thank you to our PTSO board for organizing a great back-to-school event for our community. We were thrilled to see so many families enjoying the evening together at WHMS.
Monday, September 30th is a two hour late arrival for students.
INTERIMS
Interim grades will be available on HAC starting October 2nd. If your child’s grades are not satisfactory, please encourage them to advocate for themselves by discussing their concerns with their teacher(s). The first quarter ends on October 31st.
PICTURE DAY
Thursday, October 3rd is picture day. All students are photographed as these pictures are used for the yearbook. If you do not order prior to picture day, you can still order once the proofs are returned. There is a re-take picture day in November should your child be absent on picture day. The paper order form will come home next week with your child. The link to order is vando.imagequix.com/J9FRB96 and the Online Code is 24windyhillms25
ANNUAL FUNDRAISER
Interim grades will be available on HAC starting October 2nd. If your child’s grades are not satisfactory, please encourage them to advocate for themselves by discussing their concerns with their teacher(s). The first quarter ends on October 31st.
Only four days left for our fundraiser! We’ve raised $12,627 so far, and our goal is $20,000. We keep 65% of all money raised, with 35% going to the company for the “Mega Fundraiser Party” and their services.
As an extra incentive, any student who raises $200 in donations will receive a free yearbook. Plus, if we reach our school goal, I will kiss a pig (assuming my farmer friend keeps his promise)!
This year, I aim to direct our funds towards enriching our clubs and extracurricular activities. I am committed to being transparent about how the funds are allocated. Your participation in this year’s fundraiser is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your continued support!
It is not too late to start, just click the attachment below.
HEARING AND VISION SCREENING
All 8th grade students and any student new to WHMS this year will be screened for hearing and vision this coming week. There is more information about this attached to this newsletter. Questions should be directed to our nurse, Ms. Tillini.
