Summer School! Sign Up Today!
We are now accepting Summer School permission slips for our 2024 Summer School Extravaganza. In addition to Math and ELA instruction, we will be offering enrichment opportunities such as Diamond Painting, D & D, Yoga, Science, Soccer, Basketball, Student Leadership, Art, and History of Anime! You may fill out an electronic slip here or stop by the front office to fill out a paper copy. Summer school will run from 6/3 - 6/27, Mon- Thursday. Lunch will be provided on campus to students. Our Summer School program is designed to feel like a summer camp! Sign up today!

Promotion Dress Code:
Semi-formal, students are encouraged to dress their best!
No strapless/spaghetti string dresses. All other sleeves are fine.
No sweatpants, jerseys, or basketball shorts.
Dresses/skirts/shorts should be of appropriate length.
Open-toed shoes are fine, no flip flops or crocs.
Balloons will not be permitted in the cafeteria. Thank you for understanding.

Open Enrollment
Applications Must Be Received On or Before May 17, 2024
It's that time of year! The Open Enrollment period is open. Students currently enrolled on an Open Enrollment (live outside of the district attendance boundary) or a Variance (live in FESD attendance area but not in SMMS attendance area) should have received a letter via mail to re-apply (this application needs to be done annually). Transportation to and from school will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian for those children approved for Open Enrollment. Please submit your application as soon as possible to our front office staff.

Meet the Teacher Night for 24/25 School Year!

We will be doing our Meet the Teacher Night slightly different next year. The first hour (4:30 - 5:30) will be dedicated to our incoming 6th graders only. The second hour (5:30 - 6:30) will be open to all grades. See you there!
Reminders!
Student IDs
All students must wear their ID while on campus. Lanyards were given to each student. Black lanyards were given to students on the black team and teal lanyards were given to students on the teal team. Bus riders MUST have their ID to board the bus after school.
Cost to replace damaged/lost ID: $5.00
Cost to replace damaged/lost lanyard: $1.00
Cost to replace ID case: $0.50

CELLPHONES! Reminder that students are not allowed to use cellphones on campus! It is HIGHLY encouraged students leave cellphones at home!
If students choose to bring a phone, it must be turned off and put away in their backpack. If a student has a cell phone in their pocket, it will be confiscated. Confiscated cellphones will be kept in the office for parent/guardian pick up. Here is the cellphone policy per the Student Handbook.

Bulldog Bucks
Every Friday students can use Bulldog Bucks to purchase goodies from our Bulldog Store. Students can also use Bulldog Bucks to enter the monthly student raffle. Bulldog Bucks are for good behavior, academic achievement, and for showing good character! Students can also purchase a SMMS bulldog hoodie with 60 Bulldog Bucks, an SMMS spirit shirt with 35 Bulldog Bucks, and a new ID with 25 Bulldog Bucks.
