Hadith of the Week:Āisha (rA) said as part of a larger hadith, “I never saw Allah’s Messenger ﷺ fast for an entire month except for Ramadan, and did not see him fasting in any month more than in Shaban.”
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
Assalamu alaikum respected parents,
I pray you and your families are doing well. Alhumdulillah we are in the month of Shaban now. May Allah SWT allow us to benefit from the blessings of this month and see Ramadan soon, Ameen. Last Sunday, our students completed mid terms for all subject areas. Our teachers have been working on finalizing grades in Sunweb and mid term report cards should be ready by next week for parents to access through their Sunweb parent portal. Recess was indoors last Sunday but it seems like we will be able to have recess outdoors tomorrow, in shaa Allah based on the weather forecast.
MORNING ASSEMBLY: Our morning Assembly on 1/26 was led by Sr Asil Elkhateb, who talked to students about the Israa & Miraaj and its significance. Please refer to the FLYER for additional details. For any parents who would like to come and lead a morning assembly at Sunday School, or get involved in other volunteer opportunities at Sunday School, please fill out THIS FORM and we will reach out to you with next steps.
December - January PBIS Raffle: At the end of our morning assembly, we had our Monthly PBIS Raffle where we pulled names of 6 students from our "Race to Jannah" Raffle Jar ma sha Allah and these students received $10 Target Gift Cards (see picture below in photo gallery). We hold these raffles every month and it is just one of the many ways we use to motivate our students to make good choices and demonstrate expected behaviors at Sunday School.
