Message from Mrs. Winkler
We are so grateful to have completed this week with minimal impact from the weather! ❄️ Thank you to everyone for your help at home during our virtual learning day—your support makes all the difference in ensuring a smooth and successful experience for our students.
Morning Drop-Off Reminder
If you drop off your child at school, please remember:
🕢 Doors open at 7:30 AM on regular school days.
🕤 Doors open at 9:30 AM on two-hour delay days.
🚗 This week, we had a large number of students dropped off shortly after 9:00 AM on our delay day. Unfortunately, we do not have staff available to supervise before 7:30 AM (or 9:30 AM on delay days), so it is important that students arrive within the designated times for their safety.
Thank You, PTO & Parents!
A special thank you to parents who sent in treats for our PTO Fill the Fridge event this week! 🥰 Staff truly appreciated and enjoyed them! There are still two more opportunities to contribute—if you'd like to participate, check out the Sign-Up Genius link below.
Final Week of the Upgrade Challenge!
Next week marks the last week of February and the final week of our Upgrade Challenge! Be sure to turn in those slips as we wrap up this fun and healthy initiative. 💪🏃
Enjoy the weekend, and we’ll see everyone back on Monday!
Mrs. Kerri Winkler
Help the PTO spread some sunshine!
The Ferdinand Elementary PTO would like to invite you to bring some sunshine to the staff at FES! The winter days can be long and cold so let's fill the teacher's lounge with yummy snacks and treats to show our support for our educators! Please use the link below to sign up.
Morning Drop Off Reminders
Please make sure to pull all the way forward to the car in front of you and then make sure to let your child out of the car if you are between the basketball goal and the front. Have them start unbuckling and getting ready prior to getting to the zone. Thanks for your help with this!
Note from Mrs. Hauser
Hello Multilingual Families,
The ACCESS for ELLs WIDA Proficiency test is wrapping up this week at Forest Park. Thank you to all the students for their efforts.
Next week I will be sending some information home via the mail. This is important information regarding the meeting with Rossina Sandoval two weeks ago. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
¡Gracias!
VISITOR POLICY
At Ferdinand Elementary, we are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all our students and staff. At the beginning of this school year, all Southeast Dubois schools implemented a new school visitor policy using the Safe Visitor system. All visitors are required to check in with a valid driver's license or government issued ID and wear a visitor badge during their time on campus. This policy helps us monitor who is on school grounds and ensures the safety of our community. We appreciate your cooperation and support in keeping our school a secure place for learning and growth. Please review the policy below. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office.

Attendance Matters
We continue to monitor attendance as we are really working to improve our schoolwide attendance. This year, we will be sending letters out to families as they get closer to the 10 allowable excused abscenses for the year so families are aware of their child's attendance. Thanks to all for helping us meet our attendance goal for the year!
