Changes Coming to the College & Career Center

With grateful hearts, we wish Patty Neuenschwander a happy retirement. Patty made the decision to spend more time enjoying life with friends, family, and her lovable dogs in a few weeks. It's never easy to say goodbye, but fortunately, she plans on coming in often to help us adjust and to guide students as an Aspire volunteer. Patty, may you find joyful moments as you embark on this new journey.


Tia Molony will be the new College Coordinator for Sam Barlow High School. We are very lucky that she has been working with Patty for quite a while, therefore, helping to make a smoother transition. Welcome, Tia, we know you will be a wonderful support for our students.

Juniors-Mark Your Calendars for OR Private College Week

During Oregon Private College Week, explore up to 10 of Oregon's best private colleges and universities in only five days – for free! Daily, concurrent sessions are held from:

July 24-28 at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Each session includes a campus tour, admission’s info, and will introduce you to what makes each college distinct, including areas of study, clubs and activities, research and internship opportunities, and more! Register and learn more at oregonprivatecolleges.com.

Participating colleges and universities include:

· Bushnell University

· Corban University

· George Fox University

· Lewis & Clark College

· Linfield University

· Multnomah University

· Pacific Northwest College of Art

· Pacific University

· Reed College

· University of Portland

· Warner Pacific University

· Willamette University

Most of these colleges will also give you a fee waiver for your college application just for attending.
