NO SCHOOL MONDAY 1/20/25
New Year! New Goals!
Can you believe we are halfway through kindergarten already? We wanted to take this time to revisit what our Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 goals are as well as introduce you to what Quarter 3 will look like.
Parents, this is a great time to discuss goals and create actions steps with their children at home to help them reach these goals of the things they envision for themselves before they leave Kindergarten!
Yoga week was such a success!
This week in specials Ms. Brooks, our gym teacher, Ms. Fraze, our librarian, and Mrs. Crouch, our music teacher spent the week focusing on Yoga! The kids learned different yoga poses, the power of deep breathing, stories about Yoga, and much more! There are so many wonderful resources for teaching your kiddos yoga. They love the stories they can read teaching them the poses, they love Cosmic Yoga on YouTube, and they also love the yoga monkey on YouTube. Ask to see their best snake, dog, cat, frog, or lion!

This week and next in STEM the kiddos are diving deep into the insides of their bodies!! They are learning about hand bones and can’t believe we have 206 bones all together and that the hands alone have over 100 bones in them, they are learning about big bones, our lungs and how they work, our stomachs, and where all our organs are in our bodies with some hands on fun!
Lake County Public Library Read-A-Thon is coming!!
Information came home this week. Look for the flyer in their folder! Everyone who participates will receive a trophy and the one with the highest dollar amount collected will also receive a gift card from the Lake County Public Library. Make sure the bottom portion of the form gets sent back to Ms. Fraze so she can get a collection envelope sent home with your child 😊
Don't forget to be saving those Stracks receipts!
