To be eligible for time trade days, you must obtain 12 hours of PD between May 28-July 15, 2024.
Who is considered an 187 employee?
187, as defined from the employee work calendar, are Teachers, classroom aides, and library aides.
I am a 226 employee am I eligible for the time trade days?
ONLY Returning employees that are on a 187 day contract are eligible for the time trade days. July 30 & July 31 will be a workday for all employees that are on contracts beyond the 187 teacher contract. (i.e. 190, 192, 197, 202, 207, 212, 215, 217, 226)

For Para training, is it ok to go to one session in each training group? Ex. Day 1 5/28 & Day 2 6/18
Yes - Each day of para training is 6 hours of PD. Day 1 & Day 2 are two separate trainings. The day 1 and day 2 presented in May will be repeated in June. If you attend day 1 in May, but cannot attend Day 2, you may attend Day 2 in June.
Some of the trainings that I want to attend are during the High Pointe or District fine art summer camps. Would they be offered later in June or July? If my admin approves, can I do a PD not offered by CHISD this summer?
We are working on adding additional sessions. At this time, there are at least 15 hours that will accommodate staff that are working summer school and/or summer camps. Additionally, you can attend outside PD sessions from Region 10 that are pre-approved by your Principal.
Will there be online courses offered for these requirements?
At this time the majority of the 24-25 Time Trade Sessions are in person / face to face (f2f). CHISD will provide some live Webinar sessions but no asynchronous learning will be approved. During the live webinar sessions participants must be seen on the screen in order to receive credit. In addition, participants must participate in all components as noted in the presentation as well as the takeaway, exit ticket (etc) in order to receive credit.
Can I use my required Vector Solutions Compliance training towards my 12 hour PD requirement?
No. The Compliance trainings are required for ALL employees and do not qualify for time trade. Additionally, these are asynchronous learning opportunities which do not count towards time trade.
Will there be book studies offered for these requirements?
At this time no book studies will be offered for the 24-25 Time Trade Sessions.
I am scheduled to attend several education conferences this summer. Would I be able to use those hours to trade in for credit?
Your campus Principal MUST approve your hours so please check with him/her. Please note that if CHISD is paying for you to attend, the hours are not eligible for Time Trade. Additionally, CHISD will not reimburse you for travel or registration for any self-selected Time-Trade options.
How do I get the log in credentials for Edugence? I have never logged in to Edugence.
You should be able to log in through My CHISD and login through the Edugence icon. Username should be firstname.lastname and your password is your district network password. If you cannot login, please submit a helpdesk ticket so we can get your account setup.
