Transportation Form
Thank you for using the transportation form on our website! It's working well.
Please remember not to enter transportation changes early. Forms are run daily, and if the change is entered a couple of days in advance, it could get passed out/processed. Please enter changes only 24 hours in advance.
If you haven't established your transportation change security password, please do that. Changes will not be processed without a security password.
Save the Date!
Peer Helpers
BCS has partnered with ThriveWay to bring the Peer Helpers Plus curriculum to all of our schools! This movement started right here in Alabama and is still based in Fairhope. Learn more about Peer Helpers here! BCS is always looking for ways to improve students' lives at school, and this program is a comprehensive approach that helps all of us care for the whole child. A special thank you to the Blount County Commission and their commitment to help fund this program!

Counseling Forms
Coming home with report cards is a counseling letter which is required by the State for all students under the age of 14. This opt-in form means that you are OK with your child being referred to school-based therapy services with a school professional or outside service.
This is not an opt-in or opt-out for the regular work of school counselors like Mrs. Hicks and Mrs. Etheredge (study skills, Peer Helpers, lessons on bullying and friendships, etc.)
Opting in does not mean that your student is establishing a relationship with an outside counselor - you are just granting permission for the student to be referred if needed.
Like all ongoing counseling services provided by a school-based therapist, no session will take place without a separate opt-in form and intake service meeting. If your student is already seeing a school-based counselor, we still need the form returned showing that you grant permission. This is a yearly requirement.
