PSHS Summer News

Wildcat Families,

Thank you for the continued support this school year! For our Senior families, we are excited to celebrate your graduation Saturday (5/25). We look forward to hearing about the wonderful things you will do in the years to come. For our Junior families, all my best to you for a successful Senior year!

As we wrap up this school year, I wanted to thank you for trusting us with your children. We are overjoyed with their growth and how they embody the Tradition of Excellence. It's been an absolute honor to serve as the Plano Senior High Principal the past three years. The Wildcat Nation will always hold a special place in my heart!

Here is some helpful information regarding our upcoming summer schedule. We will provide another communication in late July to give details for the 2024-25 school year.

Should you need to visit us over the summer, here are our hours of operation:

• Monday - Thursday (through 7/26)
• 9 am to 4 pm

All PSHS issued Chromebooks need to be to turned in or the student will be placed on the hold list.

Students who need chromebooks or technology for Summer School can check one back out from our CTA office. You can also get one from the Summer School office.

If a chromebook or hot spot is lost, here is the associated fee:

• Chromebook $410
• Charger $27.50
• Chromebook case $15

5/30/24 - Grades available in Parent Portal & Report Cards mailed home.

Please login to your Schoolinks account, take the Senior Survey and request a Final Transcript to be sent to your college. You can only choose to send to one college. If you need to send a Final Transcript to additional schools please refer to the attached instructions.

We will begin sending requested final transcripts the week of June 3rd.

If you need assistance requesting your final transcript or need a copy of the instructions sheet, feel free to stop by the registrar's office.

If you need a Verification of Enrollment (VOE) over the summer, click on the link below. VOEs given this week and over the summer are good for 90 days:

Spring 2024 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) results will be available for Plano ISD students beginning June 7 and June 14. Below are the scheduled release dates for STAAR results from this Spring for STAAR Grades 3-8 and High School End-of-Course (EOC):

• June 7 End-of-Course results will be available in the TEA Texas Assessment Data Portal webpage

• June 5 End-of-Course results will be available in Edugence Profile

Parents/Guardians may view their student's official score report provided by the state by using a direct link through PISD Parent Portal. Parent Portal access will end on June 28, 2024, please write down your student’s Access Code.

1. Login to the PISD Parent Portal → https://parentportal.pisd.edu/Login.aspx

2. Scroll down to Performance Management.

3. Under STAAR Results Link click on the word link.

4. Click on the title Texas Assessment Parent Portal to view your student's results.

Parents/Guardians may also view their student's results on the TEA Texas Assessment Data Portal webpage (http://texasassessment.com) by entering their student's Unique Access Code. There are two options for you to locate the Unique Access Code.

OPTION 1 - Go to the PISD Parent Portal https://parentportal.pisd.edu/Login.aspx

1. Login to the PISD Parent Portal.

2. Scroll down to Performance Management.

3. The STAAR Portal Code in your student's Unique Access Code.

OPTION 2 - Go to the Texas Assessment Data Portal http://texasassessment.com

1. Under More Login Information, select How do I look up my access code?

2. You will then be prompted to enter in:

• TSDS Number (10-digit state issued ID number located in Edugence),

• Date of Birth, and

• Student’s Legal First Name.

TEA has provided additional information and videos on the STAAR Redesign Resources for Parents webpage.
