Hi Church

We are entering what the church calendar calls “Holy Week.” It begins with this Sunday, called “Palm Sunday” where we see Jesus enter into Jerusalem on a donkey during the Triumphal Procession. We will look at the passage in Matthew Chapter 21 on that story.

Then this upcoming Friday the 18th at 7:00pm we will be having our Good Friday Service. Join us for a reflection on Christ and the meaning of His sacrifice on the cross. That will be helpful in preparing your heart for Easter Sunday on the 20th.

● Praise the LORD for missionaries both to the United States and from the United States.

● Pray for Roger Bachelder to gain weight, strength and stability as he recovers from triple bypass surgery in February. Praise the LORD that Jean’s health is improved.

● Pray for Amy Pelletier's recovery from spinal surgery. Praise the LORD that Randi McPhee has been able to fill in for her.

● Praise the LORD for the brush and timber clean up around the edges of the property last weekend.

● Pray for a cease fire in Ukraine to begin the peace process there.

● Pray for the resumption of a cease fire in Gaza and further release of hostages

● Pray for the Easter Egg Hunt outreaches to special needs children and adults.

● Pray for Zach Dean’s summer trip to Cyprus with his Praise Band from Cairn College.

● Praise the LORD for the Romanian government’s officially opening the doors to the orphanages for Dawn Mattera’s Love From Above ministry.

● Pray for Pastor John as he leads us through the Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter services.

● Praise the LORD that Pat and Carol Donnelly have been spared damage and loss in the Tennessee floods and tornadoes.

• HEAD: Where are you being asked to repent and believe today?

• HEART: How is your heart pierced as you think about what Jesus has done for you?

• HANDS: How can your engagement with the local church lead to kingdom growth?

Today we continue our blog series The Firstborn Of All Creation. In this season leading up to the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, there is time for reflection on who Jesus is and why he was the one who had to pay the price for our sin.
