A Note From Dr. Phillips and Dr. Koppel
As we approach the final week of school before winter break, we want to take a moment to reflect on the accomplishments and spirit of our school community this season. This time of year is always filled with excitement, and we are so proud of our students for their hard work and resilience as they wrap up the semester.
Next week, we’ll have a mix of learning, fun activities, and opportunities to celebrate the season together.
As we head into the break, we encourage everyone to take this time to recharge, connect with loved ones, and enjoy the holiday season. Whether you're staying close to home or traveling, we hope your break is restful and joyful.
Thank you for your continued support of our school and for being part of this wonderful community. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year, ready for more learning and growth!
Reminder: Half Day of School on Friday, Dec. 20
As a reminder, Friday, Dec. 20, is a half day of school for all students.
School will dismiss at noon, and lunch will not be served.
Winter break is Dec. 21-Jan. 5.
We look forward to seeing all of our students back at school on Monday, Jan. 6!
Winter Parties-Badge Sign Up
We are holding WINTER parties on Friday, December 20, from 10:30-11:30 am. To help the check in process go faster, we will print name tags ahead of time for those who have signed up and had their ID scanned. Please note: classroom sign-ups are separate - sign up here to ensure we have a badge for you.
Want to beat the sign-in line? If you have not had your ID scanned, it would be helpful to stop by the Long office by December 18th to get it scanned. You can visit the office during normal school hours. However, please avoid 3:10-3:45 as that is a very busy time due to dismissal. Thank you!

Standards-Based Learning Survey: Parents Grades 2-7
The 8th-12th Grade Standards-Based Learning Task Force, comprised of teachers, parents, students, and administrators, is exploring how standards-based learning could be implemented beyond 7th grade. This task force is studying high school grading models, reviewing current practices at Lindbergh High School, and gathering insights from district families whose students are currently using standards-based learning.
We are asking parents of students in grades 2-7 to complete this short survey. Your feedback is essential, and the information we collect will help the task force make an informed recommendation about the future of grading practices in grades 8-12. At this time, a timeline for implementation of any recommendations has not been established.
Please take a moment to complete the survey before Jan. 7, and help us better understand your experiences and perspectives. Thank you.
