Winter Season Has Begun
Dear CCPS Families,
As we enter the winter season, we are excited to share various upcoming events that celebrate the season's spirit and the incredible work being done across our district. We are proud to highlight our students' achievements and invite you to join us in supporting their efforts in the weeks ahead.
Winter Sports Begin
Our winter sports season is officially underway, with many of our student-athletes ready to compete in basketball, wrestling, track, and other exciting activities. We encourage you to attend the games and matches, as your support means so much to our athletes and coaches. Please refer to the individual school newsletters and our district website for schedules and updates.
Community Events
In addition to the sporting events, several community gatherings are planned throughout the month. These events are also featured in the school newsletters and provide excellent opportunities to connect with your neighbors and show support for our students. Keep an eye on upcoming announcements for details on local events that celebrate the winter season, our school spirit, and our shared community values.
Winter Concerts
It’s also a time to enjoy the musical talents of our students. Winter concerts will be held across the district, showcasing our band, choir, and orchestra performances. These concerts are a highlight of the season and an excellent way to experience our students' creativity and hard work. Be sure to check your school’s newsletter for specific dates, times, and locations for these performances.
Support Staff of the Year Gala
We are also thrilled to announce that the county’s Second Annual Support Staff of the Year Gala will take place on Monday, December 16. This event honors the dedication and contributions of our support staff, who play a vital role in creating a positive learning environment for our students. We look forward to celebrating their hard work and commitment to our community.
We thank you for your continued support as we embrace this busy and joyful season.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Lawson, Ed.D.
