Weekly Bulletin
Week of 5-20-2024
Message from Principal Blagg
Good afternoon Parker Families,
It was another bustling week at Parker. We finished up MCAS for the year with our 5th graders completing the science portion this week. Our music department continues to bring joy and light into our lives with two amazing concerts. Under the direction of Lisa Tiano, our orchestra held a Spring concert on Tuesday. The following night Martha Robertson's Chorus students performed for another packed house. Both concerts were joint ventures with McCarthy Middle School under the direction of Luke Miller and Jodi Richardson. The students were amazing in their ability and range. The bar is set high for our students, and they joyfully rise to the occasion time and time again. The music selections were diverse and inclusive and serve to broaden horizons and perspectives. The music programs in Chelmsford are truly outstanding and really contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and nurturing community and culture.
Sixth Grade Social
We had a fantastic sixth grade social today. The students had the opportunity to play games, eat shaved ice, dance, and have fun with their friends. Special thanks and gratitude go to our Student Council advisors Shannon Merrill and Meghan Colon who hosted this wonderful event. It is great seeing kids being kids free of social media and their phones!
Parker Fun Run
We are excited for our Parker Family Fun Run on Sunday May 19! Please cpme by for the festivities. It is truly a community event that brings us all together. Special thanks to Alyson Kenney and the Parker PTO for putting on this great event! We are so fortunate to have such a supportive and active PTO. All proceeds directly benefit our students.
Nik Sperounis All Sports Camp
All proceeds from the camp go to raise money for the Nik Sperounis Memorial Scholarship. Nik was a three-sport star at CHS before succumbing to a rare form of cancer last year. Nik had a magnetic personality that drew people in. HIs competitive fire, love for his teammates, and joy in playing sports was infectious to his peers.
