New Member of the Addams Staff - Jamison Brown
We are excited to welcome Jamison Brown to our Addams family as our new AST teacher. Jamison is a recent graduate of Western Michigan University who brings wide experiences, passion, and enthusiasm for teaching and learning. She will be a great fit in our community. She will spend the rest of the school year getting settled in with students, the building and the resources. She will be reaching out to her families in the coming week.
Parent Feedback for 2025/26 Class Placements
We would like to offer parents a chance to provide some feedback about their child as we prepare to create new class lists for the 2025/26 school year. This pertains to all grade levels now that we will move away from the looping model. This is not a requirement. Our teachers and support staff will start the process of building those class lists in May. We ask that you do not request specific teachers. We will share this information with those responsible for creating the lists. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns. Deadline for submission is May 9th.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month!
During the month of May, we encourage all of our students, staff and families to show support for mental health by wearing the color green on every Monday throughout the month. Green is the official color for mental health awareness as green represents renewal, hope, and vitality. To be seen in green, whether a complete outfit or just a touch of green, sends a message of advocacy and support for the importance of mental health.

Prasit Nemmin and his friends could only play soccer a couple of times a month, since the sandbar they played on in their island village of Koh Panyee, Thailand was underwater the rest of the time. Watching the World Cup on TV made them want to play every day, inspiring their plan to build a floating field.

PTA Spring Carnival Volunteers
The Spring Carnival will be held on Friday, May 16th from 6-8pm. This event is a cherished tradition with Addams families. In order to make this event a success we will need a large number of volunteers to assist with the event. If we are unable to find the volunteers to cover the event, we will need to make the tough decision to cut back on some of the activities offered. Please consider signing up for a shift to help at this event.
