Author Read Aloud

The Elementary students welcomed author Aimie Meyer, who recently published the story “Gnarly the Christmas Tree”. The story is based on Mrs. Meyer’s family and their journey with Grandpa Dan’s Tree Farm. Students had the chance to ask Mrs. Meyer questions about the story and what it was like to write a book and have it published. Mrs. Meyer then gifted the school with 10 copies of the book for our classroom libraries. Copies of the book are available on Amazon if the kids are interested.

The time to pay for the 2nd semester milk break is approaching. If you only paid for 1 semester of milk break for your child(ren), payment for the 2nd semester (if your child wishes to continue receiving milk during snack break) is due by January 17. Please be on the lookout for an email reminder.

Elementary Thanksgiving Parade

The 4th annual Thanksgiving Day Parade at the Elementary School took place on Wednesday, November 27th. Students in 4th grade spent time designing floats in their STEM class, and got to put them on display for the whole school! The 4K students designed turkey hats and had a chance to lead the parade. It was a great day to celebrate learning

Emergency Response Protocol

Our school district has an emergency response plan for a variety of emergency situations. This includes weather, fire, medical, internal disturbances, active shooting threats, and external or nearby disturbances. The video linked below, created by the I Love u Guys Foundation, has been used to educate students in both buildings on our emergency response protocol for student in 5th grade and above. Students younger than 5th grade review the protocols with their teachers monthly and are given an opportunity to ask clarifying questions. The poster below is hanging in all rooms in our district, and highlights the necessary action to follow in an emergency. If you wish to have a better understanding of the protocol, I would encourage you to view the video used to train our students.

Panther Prizes

Our weekly prizes are provided by family donations. We are always seeking toy or prize dontations to keep our stock supply healthy. Prizes between $5 - $15 are perfect. You can drop them off in the office with Mrs. Kristi at any time

Weekly Prize Winners

Each week on Friday, we will draw 3 winners of our weekly prizes. Students work hard to get their panther paws filled out during the school day. Whenever they fill their card of paws, they will get a sucker from their homeroom teacher, and have a chance to enter their paw into a drawing for a bigger prize. Please continue to encourage your child to work hard in school, follow the panther way, and keep getting their paw cards filled up.

November ROAR Awards

Below are the winners of our monthly ROAR awards. These students were selected by their homeroom teacher as students that exemplify what it means to follow the panther way. The students pictured below have demonstrated leadership for their peers and always follow the school wide expectations. This month, we awarded students for acting appropriately in all settings. Thank you to these students for being role models at school!
