Principal's Principles
🎉 Congratulations to our DHS Support Person and Teacher of the Year! 🎉
We are thrilled to announce Mrs. Anne Marie Lawler as the DHS Support Person of the Year and Mr. Dylan Parten as the DHS Teacher of the Year!
Mrs. Lawler joined DHS five years ago as our bookkeeper, and she has been an incredible asset to our school community ever since. She provides outstanding support to our athletic teams, clubs, band, Tiger Arts Guild, and the entire school with her motto, "Service with a Smile." Her helpfulness and efficiency brighten the day for everyone she meets, making her a true blessing to Demopolis High School.
Mr. Dylan Parten has been selected by his peers as the DHS Teacher of the Year. His colleagues describe him as "a compassionate, mild-mannered teacher who genuinely cares about his students and relates well to them. No matter what the day brings, Mr. Parten stays calm, professional, and focused on his students' growth. His classroom is a place where learning is fun, informative, and challenging, and he has a gift for meeting each student where they are academically to help them succeed." He truly embodies what it means to be a teacher.
Congratulations, Mrs. Lawler and Mr. Parten, and thank you for representing DHS so well!
