Principal's Message

Happy Friday Cougar Families!

The 2020-21 school year culminated last night with a beautiful commencement that celebrated the class of 2021. I couldn't be more proud of our new graduates and know the resilience they have shown will carry them through many challenges and successes in their future.

For those that missed the event, the ceremony will air on iTV Cable 16 three days after the June 10th live stream, on Sunday, June 13th at 6pm. You can also view the recording HERE.

As we close the book on the 2020-21 school year I want to give my heartfelt thanks, appreciation, and admiration to our students, staff, and families. We have all been through a lot this year and you all deserve to be celebrated.

I hope everybody has a wonderful summer full of relaxation, travel, and time with family and friends. I hope that our students are able to do whatever they need to do to charge their batteries for the beginning of the 2021-22 school year in August.

Please check your email frequently for school updates throughout the summer. We will keep the community updated as the details surrounding the pandemic evolve and the guidelines change.

Shrek the Musical!

Please help us celebrate the return of live theatre! Sports, Sports, and More Sports!

The Boys Golf Team entered CIF as the 7th best team in the county and 3rd in Division 1, after a sub par performance on Day 1 we were 9th overall and 5th in Division 1, but the boys came to play Day 2 and outperformed every team finishing 3rd overall and CIF Runner Ups in Division 1. Senior Shea Lague led the way out performing the entire field with a -5 under par (one of only two players under par on Day 2) and his teammates (Nick Vila, Phil Yturralde, Brasen Briones, Bruce Hang and Logan Infurna) brought home the school's best finish ever. Shea will head to the SoCal Regionals on Tuesday.

The SCHS Baseball team won their first round CIF match against Vista on Wednesday and play in the second round on Friday. The Softball team also won their first round game against Del Norte and will play their second round game on Friday. Go Cougars!

Congratulations to our girls and boys track and field teams who had several finalists in the CIF San Diego Division 2 meet. The finals will be held at Mount Carmel High school this Saturday, 6/12.

Congratulations to our Girls and Boys Golfers who have had a great past two weeks. On the girls side Anna Davis finished 2nd at CIF and Annika Yturralde finished in 10th. The boys team finishes their matches on Thursday. Great job to all of the Cougar golfers who represent SCHS so well!

Emergency Rental Assistance
The program provides payment assistance for renters who need help with rent and utilities. Applications will be accepted until funds are no longer available.
