February FACT Responses
The Faculty Advisory Council of Teachers (FACT) met on February 8, 2018, to gain stakeholder feedback and advice, and focus on improving communication regarding work-related issues for teachers and their possible solutions.
Attached are notes from the February 8 FACT meeting, along with submissions and District-level responses.
Submissions were provided by various campuses, discussed by elected campus FACT representatives and principals, and submitted to FACT for discussion.
Teacher Transfers for 2018-19
All current KISD professional employees who wish to transfer to another campus in the District for the 2018-19 school year will have the opportunity to complete a Transfer Request online ahead of the March 20 Transfer Job Fair.
The Online Teacher Transfer window will open at 8 a.m. Monday, February 19, and close at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 1.
The Transfer Fair Day will be Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
Information on how to request a transfer may be found the Workforce K-Connect page.
Early Resignation Notice and Attendance Incentive
In order to assist campuses with planning for the 2018-2019 school year, Keller ISD is again offering an Early Resignation Notification Incentive of $750.
This incentive will be offered to the first 100 teachers and other professional instructional staff such as counselors, librarians, diagnosticians, LSSP, nurses, etc. who submit a resignation/retirement letter to their campus principal by Monday, March 19, 2018. This early notification will help principals determine staffing and recruitment needs for next year.
In addition, teachers who submit their letter by March 19, 2018, will receive an additional $250 for maintaining perfect attendance from April 2, 2018, through the end of the school year. To be eligible, an employee must be on a Probationary, Term, or Continuing Contract.

Keller ISD's Early Enrichment Program

Employees can apply for this opportunity from February 15 through March 5. Applicants will be notified of acceptance or wait-list status by March 9. All applications will be considered, and if applications exceed the number openings, a drawing will be held to determine acceptance.
KEEP will be held at Keller Early Learning Center North (10310 Old Denton Road) from 6:45 a.m.-5 p.m. each day, and will follow the teacher work calendar (187 days) for the 2018-19 school year.
Costs for KEEP are as follows (child's age as of August 6, 2018, will determine class placement):

Toddlers 18-23 months (Cherished Chargers) – $41/Day
