K-12th GRADE INFORMATION
Information Regarding the December PowerSchool Data Breach
ALA Parents and Stakeholders,
An email was sent out this weekend from PowerSchool regarding the December data breach. Our IT specialist tagged it as a possible scam and sent notices not to open the email.
After investigating, we have confirmed that the email did come from PowerSchool and is safe.
Due to the confusion, we are sending you the direct links to the PowerSchool website with the information you need regarding the data breach, including links to sign up for the complimentary identity protection services and credit monitoring services PowerSchool is offering.

Because it is mentioned in the online article, we want to clarify that ALA does not store SSN’s in PowerSchool for students or employees.

Position: Elementary Lunchroom Aide
Starting Date: ASAP
Location: American Leadership Academy—898 West 1100 South, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660
Hours/Pay: 2hrs daily/4 days per week-Starting at $15 hourly
Job description:
- Working directly with students KG-6th grade during meal time. Monitoring and addressing student behavior. Ensuring lunchroom procedures are followed. Minor set-up and cleaning duties.
Position requires:
- Social skills, ability to stay calm in active situations, positive attitude, teamwork and work ethic.
- Sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift
- Have full usage of sensory abilities (vision, hearing, speech and tactile senses)
- Perform bodily movement without restriction and full use of limbs
- Able to pass a background check
- Must have a High School Diploma

YEARBOOK RUSH WEEK IS ABOUT TO BEGIN
Students, get ready for Yearbook Rush Week!
- Monday, March 24th, We’re hiding golden tickets all around the high school — The first 25 students to find a ticket and bring it to the Junior High Front Desk will score a 10% discount on your yearbook!
- Tuesday, March 25th! The first 25 students to buy their yearbook on Tuesday and show the receipt to one of our yearbook students (you'll have to find them — they’re on the move!) will be entered into a raffle for a CRUMBL gift card!
- Wednesday, March 26th is all about keeping it stylish! The first 25 students to purchase a yearbook will earn themselves a ticket for a Dress Down Day in April.
- Thursday, March 27th, you won't want to miss the chance to pie Mr. Lockwood at lunch! The first 25 students who purchase a yearbook before lunch will get to throw a pie right at Mr. Lockwood’s face!

Leadership Challenge for 11th Graders!

Youth Leadership Challenge
Attention all high school juniors! Are you up for a challenge? Each year high school junior students have a chance to apply to attend the Utah Rural Electric Cooperative Association (URECA) Youth Leadership Challenge (YLC). This week-long event is full of activities that will improve life skills and generate leadership qualities that last a lifetime. Students selected will hear from excellent speakers, participate in adventure challenges, and create meaningful relationships that won't be forgotten. Juniors in high school going into their senior year may apply. The student's immediate family must receive electric service from Dixie Power to be eligible. Applications are accepted between March 1st and March 31st.
