Dear Robert Hunter Families,
Cold weather is here - it’s a sign that winter is coming with days of hot chocolate, snowmen, and cozying up with a good book!
We have been busy at RH. This past week, all of our 3rd grade students shared their knowledge of the animals that they have been researching during their “Zoo Day” celebration. They did a great job!
We are looking forward to this upcoming week, with many special activities such as class parties and our whole school winter sing-along. As a reminder, Friday is an early dismissal day and a school-wide pajama day!
This past week, the PTO provided a lovely lunch to our staff. We want to express our sincere gratitude for all of the Robert Hunter families that support our students and staff and make Robert Hunter feel like home. Please enjoy winter break with your families. We look forward to seeing you in 2025!
Have a great week!
Warm regards,
Jessica Braynor and Lindsay Shirvanian

4th Grade Winter Concert
Robert Hunter's Winter Concert, "Tropical Tunes" is coming up on Thursday, January 9. The 4th Grade Chorus and recorder students will be performing a selection of warm-weather melodies to chase our winter blues away! Students need to arrive at school at 6:30 for the 7:00 evening concert. The students will also be performing for the whole school at 9:30 am on January 9th. Families who are unable to attend the evening concert may join the morning performance; you will need to contact the office by January 8 to make that arrangement.
Message from our School Nurse, Mrs. Cunniff
Hi Families! As winter travel and sleepover season approaches please remember to check your child's head regularly for lice.
The first sign of lice is an itchy head which can be confused with dry scalp. You may not see the actual bugs when you check a child's head, but you may see nits. Nits, or lice eggs will NOT move if brushed away like dandruff flakes would, but rather stick to the stands of the hair. They are usually found around the ears or the back of the hairline.
Treatment kits for lice can be purchased at any pharmacy. Click here to read more about lice, prevention, and treatment. Feel free to call my office with any questions! Have a wonderful weekend and upcoming holiday!
Lost and Found
Thank you to everyone who claimed items when you came to school for conferences! We still have many items remaining. If your child is missing something, please remind them to check the “Lost and Found” tables. We will be donating any items that are not claimed by winter break.
Robbie's Recognition
We encourage families to take some time to recognize our fantastic staff members throughout the school year. You can use the Google form here to submit a Robbie’s Recognition for a staff member, and we will read aloud your recognition to our staff. You can either add your name or recognize a staff member anonymously.
From the PTO:
The PTO was honored to offer a holiday luncheon on Friday to show our appreciation for all of the hard work and continuous support of Robert Hunter's teachers and support staff. Sincerest thanks to Al fresco's and Robert Hunter families for your generous and delicious contributions to the meal. We wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season!
