First Day of School Procedures
Wednesday, August 14, 2024
- All students can access their schedule via Homelink using tonight after 6PM. Go to Classes to see your schedule.
- Each year, we require parents to update their students' information through the parent portal (Homelink) to ensure we have correct information in our student information system. The window to update this information opened on August 1st. Please plan to complete the Data Confirmation process prior to your student attempting to access their schedule.
- Schedules will also be sent via ParentSquare to parents.
- If you have a school issued Chromebook, please prepare to bring it to school fully charged.

- There will be a zero period tomorrow. Zero period begins at 7:25am.

- AGHS is Going Green. Students are expected to access their schedules electronically. Only Freshman schedules will be printed. Freshman can report to the MPR between 7:45AM - 8:30AM to pick up their permanent schedule.
- Students must follow their assigned schedule.
- Students missing a class or assigned two classes during the same class time are to report to the main office during the assigned period and show their schedule for entrance to see a counselor.
- Lunch Off Campus? Students must show their class schedule or last year's ID Card to leave. Freshman and Sophomores must remain on campus.

- Schedule change forms available after school in front of the office. A parent signature is required to submit a schedule change and you must have completed your request by next Friday, August 23rd. Reminder, a change of teacher is no a reason to change a schedule.

Student Business Office
- PE clothes can be purchased online here. Then show the receipt to the PE teacher to pick up the correct sizes.
- Please follow the directions on the website to add your student to your family in the webstore.
- Some Apple products have technical difficulties. Please try using Chrome if this occurs.

Student Parking
All students are required to park correctly facing forward in an assigned space. Students are not allowed to park on the 900 side or in Staff Parking spaces.
Students must have a valid driver's license.
Textbooks, Chromebooks, Class Materials
- Textbook Check Out is arranged between the class teacher and the library during class time.
- All students should report to school with a charged Chromebook. If you don't have a district assigned Chromebook, you will be required to check out a Chromebook. Personal devices will not work on the school WiFi network. Chromebook check out will be organized through the English classes.
- Teachers will notify if students are required to have specific class materials when they are provided with the class syllabus.

Need a Schedule Change?
All students are asked to attend their assigned schedules on the first days of school.
If a student is missing a class period or has two classes scheduled for the same period, report to the main office.
If you are seeking to request a schedule change, please be aware of how to make a formal request.
1. All requests must be made by completing a "Schedule Change Request Form" which you can pick up at the AGHS Administrative building at the end of school on Friday, August 16th. All forms require a parent signature and can be turned in on Monday, August 19th.
2. Requests made by email will not be granted unless you are misplaced in a level of a course or have other technical errors in your schedule.
3. The deadline to request a schedule change is Friday August 23rd.
Meet Your Counselor!
Counselors are available for academic advising, mental health referrals, high school planning, college information and more!

AGHS Health & Wellness
Students wishing to carry over the counter or prescribed medication on campus (inhalers, epi pens, etc...) must contact the school nurse.
AGHS also offers mental health counseling, hearing and vision exams, and much more!

Returning Clubs
Please check in with Mrs. Hurtado to confirm your club is continuing this year. To setup your meeting day, time and room number, please see Mr. Carter in room 402 or email at james.carter@lmusd.org. Your club must be confirmed prior to any announcements. Club meetings will be announced starting August 26th.

Lastly, we are going digital tickets for entry to all home games. You can get a season pass through boosters or purchase your tickets at gofan.co in advance or pay with a card at the gate.

What does this mean for you and your children attending the school district identified above?
Great news for you and your students! All enrolled students of Lucia Mar Unified School District are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the 2024/2025 school year. No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application.

Transportation: School & City Bus
Unfortunately at this time, the city ran bus system (South County Transit) is not able to provide transportation in the morning and afternoon to and from AGHS. Students and families will be notified when the schedule is updated.
