PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
A huge thank you to our Pershing Foundation for providing us with generous one-time funding to help support the rapid enrollment increase we have seen at Pershing these past two years. With their support we were able to purchase additional lockers on a much quicker timeline than originally anticipated. We will however need some assistance from some of our "handy" family members. If you are willing and able to help us assemble these lockers please email Mr. Hawthorne at whawthorneii@sandi.net . Thank you in advance for your help with this.
Did you know that our math department is going to be recognized at our upcoming board meeting for the impressive growth we have seen in our math scores on the CAASPP and for the significant improvement in closing the achievement gap in math for our students on IEPs. Pershing Middle School saw some of the largest gains for students on IEPs of any school in San Diego Unified. Congrats to our fabulous math team on this impressive accomplishments!
And last but not least, our middle school athletes are at it again and continue to impress as they head into playoffs! Be sure to chekc out the latest highlights in our middle school sports section below. Good luck in the playoffs Panthers!
Sincerely,
Melanie Kray
