I continue to be humbled by, and deeply grateful for, the warmth of the welcome from the Cornwall School and ACSD community. It has been wonderful to meet students and families this week for the summer program, giving me a chance to get to know folks in a super small setting.
Even with summer program running, it's quiet at Cornwall School in July. However, there's a slow, steady stream of activity as we care for the building and prepare it for the new school year!
- A team came to clean the exhaust hood in the kitchen.
- The circulator (I think) was replaced in the boiler room (which I now can locate).
- Long-time ACSD painters Kim and Emily put a fresh coat on the copier room, the kindergarten cubbies, the shelving in the principal's office, and touched up the mural in the kindergarten bathroom.
- The fire marshal tested our fire alarms (and they passed!).
- The rugs were shampooed.
- Jonathan and Christine are deep cleaning and waxing the floors each night, one classroom at a time.
And I can wait to get into those gardens! I hope you can join me for any amount of time - come when you can and leave when you need to. The first session is Friday, 7/12, 7:30 am -8:30 am.
