Dear Parents,
Parent-Teacher Conferences at Rock View are scheduled for November 25th and 26th. These days will be half-days for students, giving teachers the opportunity to meet with families and discuss student progress in detail. Conferences provide a valuable moment to celebrate accomplishments, address areas for improvement, and set meaningful goals for the months ahead. We’re excited to collaborate with you and look forward to these insightful conversations that support our roadrunners’ growth and success!

Open House Nov. 11th
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Open House last week. We had a wonderful turnout with over 200 families attending, and it was fantastic to see so many parents and families engaging with their children in classroom activities. Your presence truly made Rock View an even brighter place. We hope you enjoyed the opportunity to experience a bit of your child's school day, and we value your feedback to help us continue improving these events. Please take a moment to complete the survey linked below and share your thoughts with us. Thank you for being such an integral part of our school community.

Read-A-Thon Bingo
We’re excited to introduce Read-A-Thon Bingo, a fantastic way to encourage reading at home, at school, or both! This interactive challenge allows students to explore various types of reading. They can listen to books, read parts of books, or tackle them in their entirety. Every minute spent reading for the Read-A-Thon Bingo can also be added to Read-A-Thon logs!
Paper copies of the Read-A-Thon Bingo card will be sent home when the Read-A-Thon begins, so keep an eye out! Students who complete the Read-A-Thon Bingo can bring it back to school to receive a small prize. We encourage you to participate together as a family, making reading a shared adventure. For more details, please click here to see the Read-A-Thon Bingo and directions.
Happy reading, and let the bingo fun begin!

Books available will be his new picture book Almost Underwear, along with the three books in his Rover and Speck series. To receive a signed copy delivered on the day of the event, books must be purchased at Politics and Prose through this link. The deadline to order is this Sunday, November 17th.

Counselor Updates
Message from your counselors Ms. Miller and Ms. Davis,
We just had our first Character Education Celebration for our students of the month who have been showing Growth Mindset. This next month we will be going into classrooms to teach students about Perseverance.
Perseverance is the ability to keep trying and see something through to the end, even when faced with obstacles, difficulties, or failures. It's also sometimes called "grit".
This looks like facing challenges, trying again, and building confidence. We'll work on goal setting this month and persevering towards our goals. At the end of the month, our teachers will select new students who are showing Perseverance, and we will celebrate them!
