Muskrat Newsletter
October 2024
Greetings Muskrat Families!
From The Office...
✔ Lost and found is getting full. Please remind your students to check for missing items.
✔ We are in need of extra snacks for our students. Goldfish, pretzels, and the like are always appreciated. (please nothing sugary, no chocolate, and nothing that may have been in contact with nuts - granola bars etc...)
✔ I would like to feature some art from your students for my October-themed windows! So, whether you're at home or school, remind your student to make something unique and turn it into me at the office!

Turning lemons into lemonade in 1st
In 1st we are working on being okay with "mistakes" and celebrating our learning when we try our best even if it is incorrect or a "mistake". Below is our art work fixing Ms. Linde's messed up circles/art work. Look at all this uniqueness with fixing something as simple as a circle.
Cooking up some FUN in fifth grade
Once again, Chef Day has turned the fifth graders into culinary scientists! They have been reading, measuring, monitoring, and hypothesizing about how delicious their fresh baked bread and caramel graham crackers will be...
Thank you for showing up and supporting our Library program!
Celebrating Halloween at School
Halloween is Thursday October 31st and we are getting all kinds of spooky over here! Here are some things to keep in mind as you're planning:
- Students may wear costumes to school, and keep them on all day. Hats/masks can be put on for the parade.
- Morning classes will roll out normally so costumes need to be worn at desks/tables (not too big, no inflatables).
- Please no gory make-up or props; no accesories that look like (or are) weapons, no face paint.
- We will have a parade for all students to see each other and share a vibe. Individual classes may also be planning fallsy activities or parties.
- Please don't send in candy/food or pop in to help without checking with your teacher(s) first!
