The Monique Burr Foundation for Children is a nonprofit organization by Edward E. Burr and his late wife, Monique Burr, a devoted child advocate. Their sole mission is to provide schools and organizations with the best comprehensive prevention programs to protect children. MBF Prevention Education Programs, including MBF Child Safety Matters for elementary schools, MBF Teen Safety Matters for middle and high schools, MBF After School Safety Matters™, and MBF Athlete Safety Matters® for minor athletes, are evidence-based and evidence-informed primary prevention programs that educate and empower children and relevant adults with information and strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to bullying, cyberbullying, digital dangers, the four types of child abuse (physical, emotional, sexual and neglect), exploitation, and trafficking. MBF programs have been delivered to more than 3 million children in 22 states and 3 countries by 3,000 facilitators since 2010. Districts will pay for the online curriculum which includes multiple licenses: K-5 = $1500 (6 licenses); 6-8 = $750 (3 licenses); and 9-12 = $750 (3 licenses).
Bivona will also provide instructional consultation to all designated facilitators who attend the ToT workshop to reinforce goals and objectives intended by MBF curriculums as well as strengthen and personalize facilitator skills. Bivona will also facilitate a parent forum and staff preparation training prior to lesson implementation.

Monday October 3, 2022
Tuesday October 4, 2022
This training is for new administrators who have not been previously trained. The State Education Department requires all evaluators of teachers to be certified through an appropriate training process. Lead teacher evaluators are those who conduct summative annual professional performance reviews. The district must certify that these lead evaluators have been trained in the minimum requirements as outlined in the new APPR regulations. The training that we provide will meet this requirement in the manner prescribed by the SED. You must complete all 4 days for certification.
Introduction to Social Emotional Learning and Racial Equity
Join us ONLINE for Social Emotional Learning and Racial Equity on Tuesday September 27, 2022.
Introduction to Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Racial Equity introduces social and emotional learning in the context of a critical and anti-racist framework. This learning experience is for all educators and leaders committed to their own growth and development related to SEL and Racial Equity. It will provide shared language and a foundation to understand the relationship between racism and SEL. It will explore the various fears people face when engaging in racialized work and conversations, as well as effective frameworks to counter those fears. Lastly, this session will give participants an opportunity to explore some of the pitfalls of Social Emotional Learning and Equity, along with some of the recommendations to address the pitfalls. Facilitators understand and are responsive to the sensitivity of racialized conversations, the potential for harm among racial minority participants, the different lived experiences people bring and the various levels of engagement people have in this work.
This event will be online via Zoom and the invitation will be sent the day before to all who are registered for this event.
