Dear Blue River Valley Schools Community,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share some important news and to express my heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to serve our community in a new capacity. As many of you know, the School Board has recently appointed me as the Interim Superintendent of Blue River Valley Schools.

Transition to Interim Superintendent

During my time as Assistant Superintendent, I have been deeply involved in many facets of our district from curriculum development to community engagement. This experience has given me a comprehensive understanding of our district's strengths and the areas where we can continue to grow.

Commitment to Our Community

As I transition into the role of Interim Superintendent, I remain committed to the values and goals that have always guided our district. Our focus will continue to be on:

1. Ensuring a Seamless Transition: I am committed to maintaining stability and continuity in our schools. I will work closely with our leadership team to ensure that all ongoing initiatives and daily operations proceed smoothly.

2. Supporting Our Educators and Staff: Our teachers and staff are the cornerstone of our educational community. I will continue to champion their needs and support their professional growth.

3. Fostering Open Communication: I believe in the power of open dialogue. I will make it a priority to listen to and engage with all members of our community—students, parents, teachers, and local stakeholders. Your voices are essential to our collective success.

4. Championing Student Achievement: Our ultimate goal is to provide every student with the opportunity to reach their highest potential. We will stay focused on delivering exceptional education and supporting the holistic development of each student.

Looking Ahead

I am eager to continue the work we have started together and to explore new opportunities for growth and improvement. This is a time of transition for our district, and I am confident that, with your support, we will navigate it successfully.

Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now OPEN! Each student much complete online registration each year before the school year begins. If you are an Out-of-District transfer, you MUST complete a transfer request every year. Use the button below to read further information about how to complete registration for the upcoming school year.

The 2024-2025 school calendar was approved earlier this year. We applied to IDOE for waiver days to provide Professional Development to our staff. Five days were approved and are shown on the updated calendar below. On those days, students will NOT come to school and will NOT have e-learning to complete. In addition, we have eliminated our PM e-learning days but have kept our 'Late Start' Wednesdays.
