SGE Kindergarten Family Welcome

WELCOME TO STONEGATE! We are so very excited to meet you on Monday, July 20th!

As mentioned in our previous communication, if you would like to submit questions to us prior to Monday, please click here. We cannot guarantee we will have every answer* to every question, but we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Please read through this flyer very carefully prior to your arrival as it contains extremely important information, including our enhanced safety protocols.

• Prior to arrival, please complete the ZCS Visitor Self-Screening Process for each family member. Please see the section below that contains the link and additional information.

• We have limited the number of families who will attend during each session in order to help us incorporate social distancing. We kindly request that families come only during the time they signed up for on the Sign-Up Genius link. If you need assistance confirming the time of your sign-up, please send an email to mfarley@zcs.k12.in.us.

• Masks are required. Please ensure that all members of your family that are attending wear a mask while on our campus.

• Hand Sanitizing Stations will be set up throughout the space. Of course, there will also be restrooms available for hand washing as well. We would just ask that families follow social distancing protocols if choosing to enter a restroom.

• Cleaning and sanitizing will be conducted in between each session. Our sessions have been scheduled in order for us to ensure we have ample time to disinfect the areas in use prior to the next group's arrival time.

Maintaining a healthy environment is a priority for ZCS and a duty of all individuals on campus. Every individual shall follow the process below each day prior to arrival on campus.

• Each visitor should access the screener tool on their smart phone or computer prior to coming to campus and complete the screening questions. Parents or guardians would want to complete for their small children.

• If an individual is told not to come to campus based on the responses, please contact the SGE main office us at 317-873-8050 during normal office hours for assistance.

As you know, we already have your required documents used for registration. However, there may be some other documents/materials that some families may need to provide. A list of possible other documents that you may want to bring with you are below:

• Medical forms/Health plans
• Student Medication Drop-Off- One of our nurses will be on campus during the welcome events. If you have medical questions or need to drop-off student medication, you will have the opportunity to speak with them before or after your session.
• Legal/Court Documentation

• Please see the map below for parking. We respectfully request everyone please park in the back parking lot and enter through door #10 (door numbers are found above the doors)

• First 5 minutes: Upon entering door #10, you will be greeted by a staff member (wearing a mask). Your family may be asked to wait inside (6 feet apart) as we finish up with the prior group. Once we are ready, families will be directed to the cafe. Families should sit together at a numbered table and sit so you are able to see the screen.

• Next 30 minutes: Parent Presentation by Mrs. Largent (principal) and Mrs. Farley (assistant principal). This is our time to get to know you and to share with you pertinent information about SGE, such as: The first day of -school, safety procedures for the coming year, drop-off/pick-up, background checks, answer questions, etc . . . Children can stay with you in the cafe.
  

• Last 10 minutes: Families will take a tour of the SGE building and one of our Kindergarten classrooms. Families will be split up into two groups (for smaller crowd size) and each group will get a brief school tour and a peek into one of our kindergarten rooms.

• Families will be escorted out a different door (still leading out to our back parking lot) in order to avoid crossing paths with our next group.
