Lead a summer program for medical students from Asia
Medical Exchange & Discovery (MED) Program Global Health Fellowship Position
The Global Health Fellowship is open to medical students and undergraduates majoring in human biology or related fields. This position provides a unique opportunity to help lead the Medical Exchange & Discovery (MED) program and mentor visiting medical students from Asia. Working closely in teams of 4-5, Global Health Fellows help design a 3-week program during which participants learn about Bay Area health care while drawing critical comparisons and contrasts with health care systems throughout East Asia. Details of the fellowship can be found below or from our website. The MED program is based at Stanford University.
Training & Program Dates:
July 31st - August 26th
Core Responsibilities
- Arrange health care organization visits, volunteer activities, and cultural excursions
- Deliver presentation on global health topic
- Assist participants with clinical English learning
- Assist with facilitation of simulation and problem-based learning (PBL) activities
- Support a participant group of 10-12 students with adjusting to life at Stanford
