We are excited to let you know about the Hillsdale Science Fair! This year it will be on Wednesday, February 26. Information is coming home this week or next week. This is an optional event for grades 1-5. We wanted to get this info out early for our student scientists who would like to start their project over the winter break. Please look over the information and discuss with your child. If interested, please email your student’s teacher, or have your student request a registration form from their teacher. Fill out the registration form and return to our librarian, Mrs. Thornton who will give your student their Science Fair display board. Registration forms are due Friday, December 20, 2024.

Each day, Hillsdale staff are looking for students who exhibit HERON traits to give them a Caught You Being a Heron ticket. Students then put the ticket in their grade level jar by the main entryway. Two students' names will be drawn each week per grade level and read over the announcements for prizes from our Treasure Chest. Each month a K-2nd and 3rd-5th grade student will be drawn to receive a monthly prize!

We want to acknowledge all the great HERON traits we see in our students throughout the day!

Parents can visit: www.buytheyearbook.com and either search for Hillsdale or enter our school code, which is 295530-2501. Yearbooks are $15/each through December 31 and will increase to $20/each on January 1st. The deadline to order is Friday, February 14.

Students were asked to create artwork to be used as a graphic design on our buddy benches located at our playground areas. Students submitted their artwork and the following students' pieces were selected to design the tops of each bench. Congratulations and thank you for your efforts!
