Celebrating 100 Years of LBHS Varsity Baseball
A celebration of past, current and future baseball players
The Long Beach High School Athletic Department hosted it's Annual Baseball/Softball Day on Saturday, May 4th. The day included our varsity baseball and softball players hosting clinics which included teaching the fundamentals to hundreds of Long Beach Little Leaguers, our future LBHS Marines. The highlight of the day included a ceremony commemorating 100 years of Long Beach High School Varsity Baseball. Alumni were represented from the 1960s to recent graduates. It truly was a special day including our past, current and future baseball players.
LBHS students were recently invited to explore the first of two scheduled College & Career Fairs to see what opportunities lie ahead after graduation. Students visited various booths in the school's commons and explored colleges, branches of the military and other trade opportunities. If you would like to participate in a future Career Fair please email us at alumni@lbeach.org.
Come down to the high school on June 2nd at 10am to check out what our Auto students have been up to! Bring your classic or modern cars to join in on the fun!
The Long Beach High School Film Festival will take place on May 31st at 6PM in the HS auditorium. All are welcome!

Tiffany Davis- Class of 1989
Tiffany grew up with two parents teaching in the Long Beach School District. Most people who attended
Long Beach High School knew her father, coach Woody Davis but many did not realize her mother
was a speech therapist for the district.
Growing up, Tiffany wanted to become a teacher, just like her parents. She interned in classrooms throughout
high school and college. During the summers, she worked at Camp ANCHOR teaching campers with
disabilities how to swim. At the University of Miami, Tiffany studied to become a special education teacher
and was on track for her dream to come true.
But upon graduation, the plan changed. she started working for Best Buddies, a non-profit organization
dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with developmental disabilities. Tiffany did not have the training
to work in the non-profit space so she searched for mentors to learn how to fundraise, build a board,
hire and keep top-notch staff, plan strategically for growth and improve programming. All of this was
new to her, and mentors were hard to find, but she was determined to figure it out because she believed
so strongly in the work of the organization.
Her experience at Best Buddies ignited a new passion in her, she focused on paying it forward by working
with and mentoring hundreds of non-profit professionals and volunteers, guiding them to follow their
passion to make their community a better place to live, learn, work and play.
Over the past 30 years, Tiffany realized that her desire to teach had permeated everything she did in the
workplace and community. As a consultant to numerous non-profit organizations in South Florida, Tiffany
mentors and “teaches” passionate non-profit leaders every day how to bring their organization to the
next level.
Tiffany may not be in a classroom, but she loves being a teacher.
Class of 1993 LBHS Graduate, Colonel Estee Pinchasin, Commander of the Baltimore District , US Army of Engineers has been working to restore the main shipping channel to the Port pf Baltimore. She has been serving as part of the Unified Command established after the Francis Scott Key Bridge fell on March 26th, 2024 when the motor vessel Dali lost power and struck the bridge.
