The Holidays Are Here!
It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
A Message from the Superintendent
As we approach the winter break and holiday season, I want to take a moment to again reflect on the wonderful start we’ve had to the school year and share my gratitude for our incredible school community. Together, we’ve made great strides in resetting and refocusing. We continue to grow a positive and enriching learning environment for our students, and I’m excited about the opportunities ahead as we move into 2025.
This time of year offers a special chance to pause, connect with our loved ones, and recharge. Whether you’re celebrating traditions, traveling, or simply enjoying time at home, I hope this season brings joy, hope, and the opportunity to make cherished memories. I encourage everyone to embrace the break as a time to relax and reflect on the successes of the year so far.
Looking Ahead...
As we look ahead to the new year, I’m eager to continue building on the progress we’ve made. Collaboration and open communication remain at the heart of our mission. To that end, I’m thrilled to announce the next round of our Coffee Talks, which are scheduled to start at the end of January. These themed community engagement sessions are designed to provide an opportunity to learn more about our district’s work, share your thoughts, and contribute to shaping the vision for our schools’ future. I encourage you to mark your calendars and join us for these valuable conversations.
Quick Reminder - Calamity Days
Our cold and often unpredictable winter weather is upon us! As a plausible calamity day approaches, we communicate with our Transportation Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, and many of Lorain County’s Public School Superintendents.
As soon as the decision to cancel school has been made, the announcement is posted to our website, Twitter feed, Facebook page, and an all-call is sent to our parents. Additionally, the closing information is sent to our local news stations.
Please call the Board of Education Office if you are not signed up to receive our mass texts, phone calls, and emails.
THANK YOU
On behalf of the entire district, I want to thank you for your ongoing partnership and support. Your dedication to our schools and commitment to our students’ success make all the difference and make Keystone a great place to be.
Wishing you a wonderful winter break and a happy, healthy start to the new year. Let’s continue to work together to make 2025 a year of growth, learning, and achievement for ALL.
Sincerely,
Zach Weagley, Superintendent
