GCC CHAMPS!!!
In a display of sheer determination and athletic prowess, the Girls Middle School Track and Field team has emerged triumphant as the GCC Champions, capping off an undefeated season in spectacular fashion. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion exhibited by each member of the team.
Throughout the season, the girls showcased their excellence by notching victories against over 60 formidable opponents. Their unwavering commitment to success and relentless pursuit of greatness propelled them to victory after victory, highlighting their exceptional talent and teamwork.
In addition to their stellar performance in regular meets, the teams also shone brightly in three invitationals, where they outshined the competition and secured well-deserved triumphs. Their ability to rise to the occasion and deliver outstanding results in high-stakes events further solidifies their status as true champions.
As the season draws to a close, let us extend our heartfelt congratulations to the girls team for their outstanding accomplishments. Boys Track & Field finished 2nd in the GCC Meet!
The Boys Track and Field Team has showcased their talent and competitive spirit throughout the season, culminating in a commendable achievement of securing the runner-up position at the GCC Meet. Their outstanding performance and unwavering dedication have propelled them to this impressive feat, solidifying their place among the top contenders in the league.
Despite finishing second in the GCC Meet, the Boys Track and Field Team's dominance was evident throughout the season as they emerged victorious in all but one of their team duals. Their consistent success and tenacity in every competition underscore their resilience and commitment to excellence.
We applaud the Boys Track and Field Team for their remarkable achievements and commend them for their hard work, perseverance, and sportsmanship displayed both on and off the track. Their exceptional season is a testament to their talent, teamwork, and unwavering determination. Congratulations to the boys on their outstanding performance and for representing our school with pride and excellence.
GIRLS SOFTBALL ON A ROLL! ROLL STANGS!
In their inaugural season, the Middle School Softball Team has captivated fans with their extraordinary journey of growth, perseverance, and success on the diamond. Despite a challenging start at 0-4, the team has orchestrated a remarkable turnaround, now standing at a promising 5-5 record and aiming to finish above .500 as they gear up for their final game against Westlake on Monday.
A standout moment in their inaugural season came when Alyssa Agbuya delivered a stellar performance on the pitcher's mound, pitching a flawless no-hitter. Alyssa's outstanding achievement not only showcases her individual skill but also symbolizes the team's collective determination and spirit as they strive for excellence in every game.
As the Middle School Softball Team continues to forge their path of growth, unity, and resilience, their inaugural season success serves as a testament to their dedication, teamwork, and unwavering passion for the game. With their sights set on finishing strong and securing victory against Westlake, the team's journey embodies the true essence of sportsmanship, perseverance, and teamwork. REGISTER NOW FOR SMS FALL SPORTS- FOOTBALL, VOLLEYBALL, CROSS COUNTRY, CHEER
If your son or daughter are interested in MS football, volleyball, cheer or cross country please register HERE. There are some important meetings and tryouts approaching for some of the different sports. The easiest way to get that info is to be registered. There IS NOT a financial commitment until after this school year. MS athletics are only for students in the 7th and 8th grade in accordance with OHSAA rules.

MS Gymnast Claims a Regional Championship!
Brooke Eckert is an Xcel Platinum gymnast on the X-treme Gymnastics Competition Team in Middleburg Heights, OH. She trains 16 hours a week, year round, in order to perfect her craft. During the months of December-April, she travels to compete in USA Gymnastics sanctioned meets all over the state, as well as neighboring states and travel meets.
After an excellent season, Eckert advanced to the 2024 Ohio State Championships in Columbus, OH where she competed against Ohio's best. Individually, Eckert received a 9.175 on Vault (3rd Place), 9.40 on Bars (2nd Place), 9.325 on Beam (2nd Place), 9.35 on Floor (5th Place), and a 37.25 All Around (2nd Place). In the Team competition, Eckert contributed to the team score of 113.225 finishing in 3rd place out of 52 teams in the state of Ohio!
At States, Eckert also advanced to compete in the 2024 Region 5 Regional Championships the weekend of April 26-28 in La Grange, IL! Regionals is comprised of the top athletes from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio. Here Eckert went on to earn 1st Place on Beam with an impressive 9.7 making her the 2024 Regional Beam Champion! She also scored a 9.3 on Vault (9th Place), 9.425 on Bars (3rd Place), 9.55 on Floor (7th Place), and a 37.975 All Around (2nd Place).
We are incredibly proud of Brooke and her achievements! We can't wait to see what the future holds for her. Watch out for her next year on the Strongsville High School gymnastics team!

I am strongly encouraging all families to have the following conversation with your middle school aged child. Please inform them that the only acceptable behavior at sporting event is being positive. Any negative behavior/speech is strictly prohibited. Below is a brief explanation as it relates to acceptable and unacceptable fan behavior. Thank you for your cooperation!

ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION
Player Eligibility
- Students must maintain at least a 2.0 G.P.A. Should their G.P.A. fall below a 2.0 they will be put on a weekly progress reports to assure assignments and effort are up to snuff. If not the players will be required to sit until improvement is made.
- Students must have passed at least 4 classes in the previous quarter (5 credits if at SHS). Should this criteria not be met a student will not be eligible for the forthcoming athletic season.
- Pay to Participate and previous year academic fees must be paid in order to partake in athletic games/contests. Students will be withheld from all contests until fees are paid.

All other VARSITY sporting events will have $7.00 tickets for adults and $5.00 for students.
For stand alone JV, Freshman AND Middle School games, tickets will be $4.00 and $2.00
1. Tickets will be sold online through our NEW online Ticketing Partner, Hometown Ticketing. The link can be found HERE. This is the preferred method of payment for all home contests. You can also purchase tickets by going to STRONGSVILLEATHLETICS.ORG and by clicking on each team's schedule, there is a BUY TICKETS option. If you have question, please reach out to the Athletic Office.
2. We will offer at the gate cash and CREDIT CARD sales for all home contests. Again, if you do not want to wait in line, the online ticket option would be best
3. SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNTS. The GCC will allow Senior Citizens into any contest free of charge. At Strongsville, we will be issuing Senior Citizen All-Access passes that will allow them to attend any HOME sporting event free of charge. Passes will issued at any ticket gate upon entrance to an event.
(Please keep in mind that when we play non-league contests away, those schools may have a different senior citizen policy)
