It's time for our annual bookmark contest! Three bookmarks will be chosen from primary, intermediate and middle. These will be printed and shared with classes. Winning bookmark selections will also receive copies of their bookmark to share with family and friends and will receive gift certificates to spend at our Scholastic Book Fair in December. 👍

Orris and Timble, The Beginning

The fact that this early chapter book is written by Kate Dicamillo is very promising. This is a story about an unlikely friendship, the power of sharing stories and doing the right thing. Can't wait to read the next 2 tales in this series.

So Embarrassing...

I feel like this will be a great flip-through read for many! It's always nice to get tips on how to overcome the most mortifying of situations.

Good Night to Your Fantastic Elastic Brain

When you go to sleep, what does your brain do? This book really impressed upon me the importance of sleep. I imagine this could be a great read for so many of our students - both elementary and middle!

We Go Way Back

This is a cute, but scientific exploration of the beginning of life - all in a picture book.

Treats & Pages Middle School Book Club

Students who read a Haunted Canada book during October are invited to sign up and join us for some treats on Wed. Oct. 30th, where we'll share our favourite spooky parts from the books!

READING LINK CHALLENGE FOR GRADES 4 + 5!

Grade 4 and 5 students have an opportunity to join the Reading Link Challenge again this year. This is a reading event organized by the Fraser Valley Regional Library. Students compete in small teams, answering trivia questions about 6 specific books. Titles for this year's event will be released at the end of November. Stay tuned for more information about this in November!
