Good Afternoon Wolf Pack Families,

What a great week at Geisler! We had so much fun at our Recognition Ceremony Assembly today. The Girls 8th Grade Volleyball Team beat the Staff Team by just a few points. Students competed in fun grade level competitions and students were recognoized for their hard work in the classroom and in the extra-curricular activities in which they participate.

Conferences were well attended both virtually and in-person yesterday. It was so nice to see familiar faces and meet many new Wolf Pack families. We embrace the partnership between school and families and are so grateful to have such support for all of our students. Special thanks to Hillary Glaser, Stephanie Gonzalez, PTSA members and SO many families who donated time and food to feed our staff throughout the entire day. The food was delicious and the variety of choices in food was amazing.

Congratulations to all of our hard working students who made the Honor Roll. We could not be more proud of you! Your effort, attitude and determination have paid off. 384 students made the honor roll this marking period! Certificates will be distributed to each Honor Roll student during 6th hour on Monday. Feeding our staff during conferences was a HUGE hit! We are so excited that we will begin FREE before and after school tutoring for Math and ELA starting on Monday, November 11. If your student struggles in either/both of these subjects or iReady, this is a great opportunity for them to get additional support. Consider asking your student's math/ELA teacher if tutoring might be good for them when you meet at conferences on November 14. You may register for tutoring at anytime from now through the end of the November. Our tutoring sessions are led by GMS teachers!

Geisler’s National Junior Honor Society is having a canned food drive benefiting the Hospitality House. We are asking students and staff to bring in non-perishable foods to their first hour class. The class with the most cans will win a donut party. The food drive will take place from November 11th – November 22nd. Thank you for your support.

Families, please see the attached document regarding information on "Shop With A Hero" hosted by the Lakes Area Youth Assistance. The deadline has been extended until November 22. Please complete an application if you are interested.

Mrs. Hernandez is starting an after school Game Club beginning on November 6. This is a great opportunity for students to have some fun, meet new friends and learn some new board/card games! Please see the information below including the permission slip that will need to be signed in order to attend.

Registration for the 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C. is now moving to our third bus, which means Corporate Travel moved us to a “waitlist” status. We have about 20 seats remaining on the third bus and guaranteed registration will be open until these seats are filled. Click here to join the waitlist and pay the $50 deposit to hold your spot on the trip. Families will be asked to pay the remainder of their deposit once the third bus officially opens.

If you are a family that could use additional food over the weekends and are having difficulty finding the finances to do so, let us help! GMS and Hospitality House have partnered together to provide food to many of our students/families in need. Sometimes the need is temporary and others need it consistently throughout the year. Either is ok! Please contact your child's counselor, Mrs. Hart or Ms. Garvin if you have questions or would like to sign up for this program.
