Dear Coopertown Families,
It was such a pleasure to see so many families here for American Education Week. Thank you for coming out to see our teachers live and in action! Next week we will be have parent-teacher conferences. All students have an 11:50 dismissal time Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We look forward to sharing your students' progress with you.
Kindergarten parents- please know that AM Kindergarten only comes on Tuesday for their regular time. PM Kindergarten comes on Monday and Wednesday from 8:35-11:50.
We wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving! School is off on Thursday and Friday, November 23rd and 24th.

We went around to all grades asking kids what their favorite fall activities are. First, we went to kindergarten and interviewed Ellie and Lochlan. Ellie likes to catch the leaves of the trees. Lochlan likes to jump in the leaves. Then we went to first grade and interviewed Jose and Eden. Jose likes to trick or treat. Eden likes to dress up and get candy. We went to the third grade and we interviewed Izzy, Brynn, and Michael. Izzy likes getting candy on Halloween. Brynn also likes getting candy. Finally, we went to fifth grade. In fifth grade we interviewed James, Max, and Evelyn. James likes Halloween because everyone dresses up. Max likes Halloween because he likes getting candy. Evelyn likes carving pumpkins because she likes touching the pumpkin guts. It seems like Coopertown knows how to have fun in the fall!

Tilly Schuman is our new treasurer! Let me tell you about her.
Tilly is clever, kind, and enjoys math! She is also really good at it.
I’m interviewing her now, and I’m am so lucky.
Q. So, Tilly, how long have you been at Coopertown?
A. I have been at Coopertown since kindergarten, about six years.
Q. Do you think you’ll be good in your position?
A. I will do my best to be a good treasurer for Coopertown.
Q. If you didn’t want to run for treasurer, what would you run for instead?
A. I think I would have run for president.
Q. What are some ideas to make Coopertown a better place?
A. I want to raise money for Coopertown so we can have fun things to do throughout the year and raise money for other foundations.
Q. How much time did you spend making your video? How many times did it take you?
A. It took me about seven or more takes. And about two or three days.
Q. How long have you been waiting to be treasurer?
A. I’ve been waiting to be on the Student Council since I was in first grade when my older brother was in the Student Council. I did not decide my position until this year.
We are looking forward to a great year with Tilly as our treasurer.

Logan Rogers is a ten year old student and has been at Coopertown for four years. He is trying to get a black karate belt but needs to complete a community service project first. Logan is collecting monetary and other donations for Providence Animal Shelter in Media until December 1st. Look for the donation box in the lobby. I interviewed Logan to learn more about his project.
Yuval: Why did you choose this project?
Logan: I chose this community service project because I love animals.
Yuval: Why do you need community service to get a black belt?
Logan: You need community service to get a black belt to show responsibility.
Yuval: What do you do for practice at home?
Logan: I do push-ups, sit-ups, and practice self-defense.
Yuval: Do you have a quote or slogan?
Logan: “Be Paw-Some.”
