As we get close to the end of the school year, please join us for the many activities on the calendar including the Art Fair, Field Day, Carnival, Talent Show, and for the 6th graders...graduation! We hope all parents will join us on the last day of school, May 29th at 12:15pm, to "clap out" the 6th grade class and say goodbye as they head to middle school.

Also, there are still opportunities to be a part of PTA next year as a volunteer! Please email us if you would like to help.

Lastly, thank you so much for your incredible generosity this year. Among all of the things we were able to do at our own school, we were able to provide two teacher appreciation dinners for Arrowhead Day School, which supports students with significant emotional disabilities and does not have a PTA to provide any meals or extra thank yous. We received the thank you note below.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6th-10th! Please sign up to help here or reach out to your room parent to see how you can help. Don't forget to donate to the PTA staff fund and show our appreciation to the entire WWV staff!

STUCO is hosting a Bake Sale after school on May 9th for Teacher Appreciation Week! We need around 20-25 volunteers to bake around 10-20 goodies each that students can purchase at the Bake Sale that can be distributed to their teachers to show how much they are appreciated! Baked goods need to be dropped off to the office for Miss Harvey by Wednesday, May 8th. Please email Miss Harvey (sarahharvey@smsd.org) if you have any additional questions. Thank you for supporting STUCO and our amazing WV teachers!

Field Day is on Friday, May 10th. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to help! We need a few more volunteers, especially in the afternoon session when grades 3-6 will be outside, so sign up here if you can! The PTA is sponsoring a Kona Ice truck so all students will receive a treat that day.

Join us for the final spirit night of the school year on Tuesday, May 21st!

In conjunction with WWV Student Council, the Community Service committee will again place collection boxes in classrooms during the last week of the school year for students to put their gently used and no longer wanted school supplies. We will collect these during the last day of school to donate to organizations that are in need. If you would like your student to donate their supplies, please let them know as they are preparing to clean out their school cubbies, backpacks, and supply bins.
