SUPER FIELD DAY!
The students at Wildlight had a SUPER FIELD DAY! This Super Mario-themed day was full of fun activities to get kids energized and active! The students practiced teamwork & good sportsmanship as they participated in relay races, water games, and even pulling their teachers on sleds! Other fun games included Mario Kart racing, Plunger Relay, King Boo battle, and an obstacle course complete with a Mario Kart wash! Special guests Mario & Luigi even came to take pictures and lead a dance party! After game play, classes got to open their mystery boxes for prizes! This fun day was a labor of love coordinated by Coach Jared Godbolt, along with the help of many other WES faculty & staff, PTO members, and student volunteers from Yulee High BETA & Athletic Dept.! It’ll be one for the memory books!
End of the Year Celebrations
Bryceville Elementary students enjoyed an end-of-year celebration, being honored for either student of the month and/or perfect attendance. Students had popsicles, a dance party, and games! It was a fantastic way to motivate students to be kind and attend school regularly!
Room Transformations
The Kindergarten students in Mrs. Ballard’s class enjoyed not one but two room transformations these last two weeks! They started gearing up for summer with an Under The Sea transformation, complete with ocean-themed centers and dress-up days!
To wrap up testing, the students said “Way To Glow!” with a neon glow day! It ended with a fun dance party in the hall with other kindergarten classes at Wildlight!
Graduate Walk
What a beautiful tradition! Our Fernandina Beach High School Seniors had their final walk at Southside Elementary, where they first started their academic journeys! Our Little Pirates cheered them on as they walked the halls of their old alma mater! We even had some graduating seniors stop and give hugs to their moms!
